When Kysenia got back to the pavilion she looked around and couldn’t see Daniel anywhere. Rake was quick to tell her that he had left shortly after she had gone with the Demon King, but that Nolan was with him.
Kysenia cursed inwardly and rubbed her eyes with finger and thumb, feeling fatigued.
“Just try to breathe…” A dulcet voice said beside her.
She looked up and saw Luca, holding a glass out to her and smiling calmly.
She smiled back and took the glass with a thanks taking a large swallow of the cooling liquid.
“If you need someone to talk to…” Luca offered.
Kysenia gave him a small smile and downcast her eyes, then sighed. “I’m so stressed…”
“No doubt…what happened on your little walk, you came back quickly?”
