A COUPLE OF DAYS later, Chris took Ted on a shopping trip and helped him pick out small gifts for each of his friends. After that was accomplished, he said, “What would you like to give Mickey for Christmas?”
“I don’t know,” Ted said. “What does he need?”
“How about some socks and underwear?”
“Okay.”
They took care of Mickey’s gift, and Ted said, “Shouldn’t I give something to Miss Sarah and Miss Parah?”
“Certainly, and I know just the place to look.”
Chris took Ted’s hand as they walked down the mall concourse until he found what he was looking for.
“Here we go,” Chris said.
“The Body Shop,” Ted said, reading the sign. “What do they have?”
“All kinds of nice-smelling things for the bathroom. Ladies seem to like that sort of thing.”
“Okay.”
