The broken Angel of Love

18 year old Kanna Izumino is an angel of love that was born from cupid, She has long white hair blessed with two pink strands, beautiful white wings and captivating pink eyes, and she is one of the strongest to have been born of all the angels of love! Kanna once lived in a heavenly place with her Soulmate, Nathaniel Blackburn. Her job is to heal those with broken hearts but she also has the ability to find those linked to another, this being known as Soulmates. She helped to guide them to one another, this gift she had in particular is the one that ruined it all, ruined her life. One day a child of Aphrodite had asked for Kanna to locate her soulmate, she was about to agree but almost instantly changed her mind. This was because the soulmate of Aphrodite's child had already died, and she didn't want to cause the young girl such a pain by telling her. Soulmates are very important to Kanna, the feeling of being with the person made just for you was something she treasured, the feeling of being complete. When Kanna refused to help it caused her pain unimaginable to a normal person, especially since it is against her nature to help.  The child of Aphrodite took it upon themselves to tell their mother, Aphrodite. Aphrodite in response sent another of her children to curse Kanna's very own soulmate, Nathaniel. And over time Kanna began to notice the change in Nathaniel, how he would treat her poorly, not give her the time of day and eventually, he left. Due to his leaving Kanna locked herself away in her home, broken. Her love for him never fading.  During the time Kanna spent locked away, the child of Aphrodite cast a love spell onto Nathaniel, he fell madly in love with her and swore his life to her. The child of Aphrodite spent each day clouding his head with lies of Kanna, one of them being that she was his true soulmate and Kanna had stolen him from her. That she was jealous of her because she couldn’t find her own soulmate so she stole another's. Nathaniel, not knowing any better due to the curse and spell, believed this and followed the plan the child of Aphrodite had set in place: hurting Kanna.  ⠀ After long Kanna was made to resume work, so she went to work and did her job despite the pain she was suffering, the pain of a broken heart. One day when she was working she had noticed Nathaniel come in, along with the Aphrodite child behind him. His face when noticing Kanna was of pure disgust and to make it more painful on her, he kissed the girl he was in love with. Kanna’s heart felt as though it was going to shatter into a million pieces as a pain so strong spread across her chest that she almost collapsed. He was after all, betraying the soulmate bond and each time after that day, if he’d kiss or do anything with the Aphrodite child, she suffered immense pain from it.  She still couldn’t stop loving him though, and in her refusal to do so, is what caused her to get the Hanahaki disease. After that each time she had seen him things would get worse, he’d lay multiple curses on her and make her life a living hell, so much so that she could no longer work and began losing control of her magic, her magic that she knew so well. This is why it now activated without her knowing, and only when it was too late could she stop it. ⠀ Ai made it her goal to move on, for her own sake, and with the advice of others. She was actually convinced she could still be loved by another only to be disappointed after learning it was her magic that was forcing them to do so. She knew that the soulmate link once tied to Nathaniel had been severed, by magic no less but.. She never felt complete after that, she was just glad she didn’t have to suffer the pain of betrayal each time Nathaniel did something that betrayed the soulmate link any longer. The only pain she knew of was the curse laid upon her, the Hanahaki disease and the never ending pain of the broken heart the angel of love has.  Eventually she was sent down to earth, with the lack of control she had now of her magic Cupid thought it best to send her to a place she could be taught, a magical high school. Cupid thought that maybe, the angel of love could find someone, someone to heal her broken heart, someone to treasure her, to fulfill her wish of being truly loved once again. This is where it all begins, the first day of school.
