Kitsune’s incessant badgering about finding hidden Aurels and their pitiful little mindgifts would’ve been enough to drive anyone to murder. If the Trickster could have been killed, the N’si would have been rid of him long ago. But instead, they had to continue listening to his ramblings.
Gaia had goaded several of her favorites into going out looking for the Aurels’ hiding place. Raik would have gone even without her goading. The entertainment of wreaking havoc on the lesser folk was enough to get him itching to travel again. Getting away from Kitsune’s chatter was added incentive to go hunting.
