THE POWER OF LOVE

Ariana's pov I woke up as I herd the sound of my alarm clock ringing I turned the alarm clock off, I quickly rush to the hallway to start cleaning up the house that took an hour to finish cleaning up. I went back to my room to take a quick shower, I step out of the bathroom to my small closet I put on a blue t shirt and a black pants. I stepped out of the room making my way down stairs when my mom called, Ariana come and wash my hair, another voice called which is my sister lolita's voice araiana where is your pay check mom told you to give it to me yersterday why are you wasting my precious time give it, "don't you want to give it to her you piece of thrash, my mom says with gritted teeth, No mom I was going to give it to her last night but when I went to her room she was already asleep and i-i didn't want to wake her up, I was shaking, scared that she is going to hit me again. Before lolita's voice broke the tension. mom she is wasting my time give me the check already I am running late, she says in her high pitched annoying voice. Lolita and her friends are going shopping with my heart earned money but do I have a choice, if I speak or try to oppose this in anyway I am going to get beaten. my body is already sore from the previous beating's I have received during the past few weeks, I don't want to receive another beaten. I don't really know why mom treat's me like this, dad treated me with love, I have missed him so much. dad passed away few years ago he is the only person that use to protect me from mom but know that he is no more I am left alone to pick the pieces of my shattered life, I have always love Mom and my sister lolita but I just don't know why they don't feel thesame about me. after dad's death mom asked me to drop out of college and go get a job. I got a job at a nearby cafe but mom have been complaining that the pay there is not enough so she is planning on getting me a new job herself. I came back from work early mom told me to come back early today I wonder why. the weather was freezing cold it is making my face pale I have to walk the long way home since I don't get money from my pay check to get a cab. I got home as early as I could. i was about to go upstairs when mom called me. Ariana get your filthy self over here I don't even know where my husband got you from in the first place why didn't he just leave you there to die why did he have to save you why did he choose you over his own wife and daughter whyyyy, she says her voice slurred at the end. She is drunk but what did she just say. did she just say that I am not her daughter, I felt like I was hit by a bus. tears start making there way down my cheeks I couldn't stop the tears I feel hurt pain I can't see properly the tears are blurring my vision. I ran to my room as fast as I could. Did you think I will ever love you no never it all your fault that my husband died if you hadn't come into our lives he would have been here with us, I hate you she kept cursing and pacing back and forth downstairs. I will soon get rid of you. yes mom you are right we should get rid of her I am also tired of seeing her sick face, Lolita says. don't worry sweetheart I will get rid of her sooner than you expected, mom replies. I sobbed into my pillow I sat upright and pick up my dad's picture from my nightstand I hugged the picture frame tightly and sobbed, tears were flowing out of my eyes like waterfall. dad is not here but anytime I hug his picture it gives me peace. Realization struck me again, was mom saying the truth but why didn't dad tell me about it why? "Who are my real parents then. I have alot if questions in my mind" I slowly drift to sleep while sobbing. I woke up the next day I did the usauls. which is cleaning the house taking my bath and left for work. luckily non of them called me for any extra work. I don't know where to go they are the only family I have so I have no choice than to keep living as if everything was normal. I was in my room reading, it Sunday, I usually read books on Sundays. Since I don't get to go to college. when mom barge into my room. hey little b***h get dressed she command throwing a dress at me. it was a short gown that barely covered my ass. M-m-mom I can't wear this, I say to her with fear evident in my voice I don't know what she wants to do with me. how dare you say that, who do you think you are? you are a w***e and nothing more. I am going to use you to make more money. Better cash than that little pay check that you are getting from that stupid cafe. I and my daughter need more money to have a better life and you are going to make that happen. What is she up to, I have never been this scared.
