Tixea never thought she'd tolerate Nnaj’s presence, let alone grow used to it. Their dynamic had always been a mix of playful annoyance and sharp-witted banter—until things started shifting in ways she couldn’t quite explain. As an architectural drafting student drowning in deadlines, Tixea has little patience for distractions, especially from Nnaj, the ever-teasing, confident engineering student. But when he unexpectedly helps her through a difficult calculation, she begins to see a different side of him—one that’s patient, thoughtful, and maybe even… intriguing.A chance encounter leads her into his world of high-speed street racing, where the growl of engines and the gleam of supercars ignite an excitement she can't ignore. As she gets swept up in the adrenaline of the underground racing scene, she realizes that Nnaj isn't just about reckless speed—he sees her, understands her passion, and for reasons she doesn’t yet understand, seems determined to make sure she’s okay.Late-night drives, quiet moments under city lights, and an unexpected softness beneath his usual smirk—Tixea finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew about him.But as their worlds collide, and the lines between rivalry and something more blur, one question lingers in her mind:Was he always this hard to hate? Or was she just starting to see him differently?

Ch. 1 - A clumsy night
The sensation crept up his skin as he stirred, his senses sluggish. His elbow rested in something damp, and as his awareness sharpened, he realized he had leaned too far forward. The condensation from his untouched drink had pooled on the table, and now, his sleeve was wet. A soft gasp broke through the quiet hum of the café. “Oh—!” He looked up just in time to see a girl pull back slightly, her expression surprised rather than angry. She held up her hands, her fingers hovering over her cream-colored top—now stained with dark brown liquid. Her drink had spilled, the ice sliding across the table before plopping onto the floor. She let out a small, nervous laugh, grabbing a napkin. “Oh no… I wasn’t expecting a cold shower today.” He blinked, guilt settling in his chest. “I—uh—was that me?” She glanced at his damp sleeve, then at the overturned cup, piecing it together. “I think so,” she said, dabbing at her shirt with the napkin. “But it’s okay! It happens.” She smiled reassuringly. He hesitated. “Still, that was my fault… Let me make it up to you. I’ll get you another drink.” Her eyes widened slightly. “Oh, you don’t have to! It’s really not a big deal.” “I want to,” he insisted, already pushing his chair back. “What was it?” Before she could answer, a voice interrupted. “Hey.” A man had approached their table, his hands in his pockets. He looked at the two of them for a moment before his gaze landed on him. “Are you her boyfriend?” “What?” He blinked in confusion. But the man didn’t wait for an answer. He simply sighed, waving a hand dismissively. “Never mind. Just watch over her for a bit, I’ve got something to do.” And just like that, he walked away, leaving the two of them in an awkward silence. The girl tilted her head, watching the man go before turning back to him with an amused smile. “Well… that was unexpected,” she said lightly, folding her napkin. Then, as if remembering their conversation, she added, “Are you sure about the drink?” “Yeah,” he said, exhaling. “Let’s go order you another one.” Her smile softened. “Thank you. That’s really kind of you.” The tension eased, and for the first time since the mess started, he found himself smiling back. " The name's Kaleb" he smiled softly looking into her delicate eyes. "Tixea " she smiled awkwardly.
