Prologue
I'm going to kill him. Aria thought as she stared at the six-foot something demon standing in front of her. I’m going to f*****g kill him. She had been minding her own business, just relaxing at home catching up on some T.V. after a very good weekend, when this thing appeared in her living room, making the t.v. go all staticy and making the lights flicker. It towered over her and calmly explained that he was Belial, and he had been contracted by someone named Jasmine to kill her for violating the sanctity of her marriage.
The name immediately sounded familiar to Aria and she only took a few seconds to recognize it. Jasmine was the name of the wife of Sam. Sam. The incredibly handsome dark-haired blue-eyed man that Aria had spent an amazing weekend with just a few days ago. Sam. Who had sworn was in an ethical non-monogamous relationship with his wife. Sam. Who swore on his honor that his wife knew and was OK with him dating separately but didn’t want any interactions with his other partners. Sam. Who f*****g lied, clearly by the indication of this creature now staring down at her waiting for her to acknowledge what he said about being hired to murder her.
“Human, do you understand what I said?” His voice was gravelly and dark sounding to her ears. Not unpleasant, just clearly not of human origin.
“Yes, I understand.” Aria’s voice shook with fear as her mind raced to figure out how she could get out of this mess. The fact that the demon had the decency to explain before just trying to kill her implied some sort of honor. At least she hoped that was the case. A thought started forming, a crazy one, but f**k it what did she have to lose? “So you were contracted by Jasmine to kill me for sleeping with her husband. Correct?” She asked, trying to buy time to complete the thought process.
“Yes human, that is correct.” His voice was filled with distaste. That piqued her interest.
“You don’t sound particularly thrilled about doing this.”
“I’m not. I don’t like doing the bidding of lowly humans.”
Lowly. Owch. But this she could work with. If he was already hesitant about completing Jasmine’s contract, she might have a shot of living.
“Do you have to complete the contract?” Aria asked tentatively.
“For my honor's sake, I have to complete the contract. Now, if you are adequately prepared, I promise to make this as painless and quick as I possibly can.” A great sword sheathed in flames appeared in his hands as he took a step forward waiting for her answer. Aria lifted up a hand to pause his advance and scrambled to her feet. She wanted to try and at least appear as equals when she made her proposition.
“Wait, what about making a deal with me?” Aria couldn’t hide the desperation in her voice and didn’t even try. She was proud that she was at least able to hold the demon's fiery gaze as she spoke the words. She watched him carefully as he considered her words. She could almost see the gears turning in his horned head.
“What type of deal?” he inquired. Aria tried to keep the relief and excitement off her face. He was intrigued enough to ask about the deal. That means there might be an actual way to get around him killing her. Right?
“f**k me.” She stated in as steady of a voice as she could manage. The look of shock that flashed across the demon's face was priceless and almost made her lose her composure.
“Excuse me?” Well huh, a polite demon. Wait, why did that strike her as odd? This whole interaction with him has been extremely polite despite the circumstances. Well I’ll be damned. She thought. A demon who is also a gentleman.
“I said f**k me. "s*x got me into this mess, so why not let it get me out of it?” His brows furrowed in confusion.
“How is this a deal?” His voice was leadened with confusion. She couldn’t blame him; her panic caused her to fumble this entirely.
“Let me rephrase it. Let’s f**k. If I can last longer than you, you have to let me live. If you can somehow make me tap out, I'll let you kill me with no complaints. Deal?”
He pondered her words carefully. The idea didn’t repel him as much as he thought it would. In fact, he quite liked the appearance of this fiery woman. With her full figure, long red hair that had just the beginning touches of gray braided down her back, and greenish-blue eyes. She was quite attractive even to him. His tail lashed out behind him as he considered the proposal. The movement caught her eyes, and he watched as they widened a bit. He saw no hesitation in her eyes, however. Hmmmmm this human is intriguing, he thought. He shifted his weight on his hoven feet and considered her deal. What would he have to lose? Getting her to tap out wouldn’t be hard surely, so it would just be delaying his contract with that detestable human, Jasmine. The idea of her outlasting him was not only laughable but brought a sneer to his face which showed Aria the tips of his fangs. At six foot six inches, he was almost a full foot taller than she was. The difference in their height appealed to him since most demon females were around his height and could look him straight in the eyes. Not up at him like this woman was. Belial eyed her, blatantly undressing her with his gaze. She stood with her shoulders slightly back. Confident and comfortable in her skin. Belial nodded with approval. She wasn’t making this deal without understanding what she was getting into. Her body language spoke of experience and the scent of her arousal also told him that she wanted to do this. That physical tell was the last bit of persuasion he needed to agree. After all, what did he have to lose?
“You sure you know what you're getting into?” His words were slow and deliberate to make sure he was understood.
“I do.”
“You consent then to being my plaything till one of us taps out as you said?”
“I consent.” Her voice rang confident and sure. She was just so relieved that he accepted her proposal. She had never met any man that could outlast her in the bedroom. Aria was confident that she could outlast a demon for sure. A bunch of papers materialized on the coffee table next to her.
“Read those very carefully,” he said, waving at the papers, “If you have any amendments you would like to make, please speak up immediately.” She glanced down at the papers and then back at him. Surprise, yes that's the emotion she was feeling.
“Is this a b**m contract?” She had heard of these, even seen them in some Hollywood movies before, but had never once seen one in real life. Belial just nodded with amusement. He was curious how she would handle this. Much to his surprise, she promptly sat down and started reading the ten-page contract. All very standard in a D/S arrangement back home.
They went over every line together. Taking some things out that were her hard limits, and much to his surprise, adding a few things that even he hadn’t tired of yet. After a couple of hours, taking breaks for refreshments, of course, they came to a satisfactory agreement and both signed the papers.
“Very well, I accept your deal.” He reached out a clawed hand towards her and grasped her delicately seeming hand. The strength in her grip surprised him as they shook the deal into being. A wicked smile curled his lips up, “Now let’s begin.” His smile got even wider as her eyes flashed in shock. Aria didn’t think they would start so soon.
She nodded her head and simply whispered “As you wish….. Master.”
Oh, this was going to be fun.
