Endangered Lives

*While Harold is busy scolding his goons, Pablo managed to escape by hiding from their sight. He carefully ran from one post to another and then slowly crawled under the table into the door. The moment he reached the entrance of the door, he ran as fast as he could. Unfortunately, the goon who bought food from him saw him and recognized him.

Goon 1: That’s the boy who sell us food! (He yelled)

Goon 2: His goods might be the one that caused us to sleep.

Goon 3: Yeah, after eating the food that he sold us, we suddenly felt sleepy.

Harold: Well, what are you waiting for, chase that boy before he manages to escape!

Goons: Yes sir.

*Harold’s goons do the best that they can in order to catch Pablo. He ran as fast as he could, entered in small places, he jumped over here and there just to be lost in their sight. Luckily he found a hole that could possibly lead him somewhere.

Pablo: This might lead me somewhere (he thought)

*He entered the hole that he found, hoping to lose those men chasing him. Upon entering the hole he discovered that it was a tunnel. When he got out of the tunnel he found himself in a place that he never seen before. It seemed like he entered a rich man’s mansion. He walked into the garden to find somebody who can help him saved his friend. As he explores the garden, he saw a young man, about Arianne’s age, sitting on a wooden chair, reading a book. Pablo sighed and whispered to himself saying…

Pablo: I can do this. I must do this. Arianne needs help. With all those goons out there, there’s no chance I’ll be able to go to Officer Hams. (He sighed again)

*When he gathered the courage to approach the young man he decided to speak up to him and ask for help.

Pablo: Excuse me mister.

*Seeing Pablo suddenly appeared in his garden, the young man was shocked but tried to remain calm.

Ezekiel: Who are you? Are you one of our gardener’s son?

Pablo: No sir. I was being chased by four huge men, so I entered the hole that I found without hesitating. Then I found myself in your garden.

Ezekiel: Oh, so you found my hidden passage (he chuckles), but why do this men chase you, did you do something wrong? (He calmly asked)

Pablo: (shook his head) No (he exclaimed)

Ezekiel: Then why are this men chasing you?

Pablo: It is because, I tried to save my friend from them.

Ezekiel: That made it more confusing. Let me rephrase it. So you were being chased by four huge men, because you try to save your friend. What are they kidnappers? (He sarcastically asked)

Pablo: Exactly!!!

*Upon seeing Pablo’s serious face, Ezekiel started taking this matter seriously.

Ezekiel: So your friend has been kidnapped?

Pablo: Yes sir, please help me save her. (He plead to the young man)

Ezekiel: Do you know where they are?

Pablo: Yes, yes I know where they.

Ezekiel: Alright wait for me here.

Pablo: Thank you, thank you so much.

*Ezekiel went to his bodyguards and told them everything Pablo had said to him. After discussing some short matters to them, he went back to Pablo and invited him to come with them.

Ezekiel: Are you coming?

Pablo: Yes of course.

*Pablo and Ezekiel together with his two bodyguards, rushed to the place where Arianne had been detained. Sadly, Arianne was no longer there. In fact, nobody was there.

Pablo: (sobbing) Where are they (searching every corner of the place) they were just here! I promised her that I’ll come back for her (was brought to his knees and cried)

Ezekiel’s bodyguard: Sir, there is nothing here. What if this child is just fooling you around, or what if he is from a syndicate, or worst, what if he is from one of your father’s rivals.

*Pablo heard everything Ezekiel’s bodyguard told him. So he oppose.

Pablo: You are wrong. I am telling the truth! My friend was here, and (sobs) I…I was about to save her. It’s just that crazy old man came.

Ezekiel: (looked seriously at Pablo as if he is thinking deep) Very well let’s save your friend. (He calmly said) Come on guys let us search this entire place we might find something here that can help us.

*While searching Ezekiel found a car tire tracks behind the old house.

Ezekiel: Hey guys, come and check this!

*After hearing Ezekiel, his bodyguards together with Pablo rushed at the back of the house.

Ezekiel: Was this here before? (He asked Pablo)

Pablo: I’m not sure

Ezekiel: I have a feeling about this, let’s go follow it.

*They followed the car tracks and lead them to the creek’s tunnel.

Pablo: I think this could be the car that they used (he exclaimed).

Ezekiel: Sssh. (Focusing on something) Can you hear that?

Pablo: Hear what? (He whispered)

Ezekiel: That voice.

Pablo: I hear nothing

Ezekiel: Tsk…Try to focus. Guess we should come closer.

*They all moved closer to the creek, but suddenly an angry man came approaching so they all ran and hide trying to see who it was.

Harold: What Jenna?! You cannot cancel our wedding, I already prepared everything. What?! Your daughter still opposes it. Come on, she’s just upset about her Father’s death. Wait Jenna! Hello, hello…(looked at his phone and got so mad upon founding that the call already ended)Ugh!!!! This brats are sooooo getting on my way!

Ezekiel: Is that the man who kidnapped your friend?

Pablo: I can’t see him clearly, but upon hearing his voice I am sure that it is him.

*Ezekiel quickly grab the thick piece of wood that he found nearby and slowly move towards Harold, but his bodyguard quickly stopped him. When he looked again where Harold is, they saw two men with big guns.

Ezekiel: Quickly, tell my father about this (he whispered to one of his bodyguards)

*His bodyguard nodded.

Harold’s goon: Sir what are we going to do with that girl?

Harold: Kill her (quickly rode the car parked at the entrance of the tunnel and drove away from the creek)

Pablo: (Pablo stood up and was about to run to them and shouted in a low voice) No!

*Ezekiel grabbed him quickly before he gots out to them.

Ezekiel: Relax, she’s not gonna die. By the way who’s Jenna?

Pablo: (shrugged his shoulders) I have no idea.

*The four of them, moved closer to the tunnel to see what was happening inside, the moment Harold’s goons got back in. There they found Arianne whose face was covered with a cloth murmuring and struggling from being tied. One of the goons lift up the cover on her face. Arianne looked around scared and keeps on murmuring, so one of the goons lowed down her gag.

Arianne: Let me go! I have to see my friend Sophia, she’s in danger. They are in danger with them!

Goon: Don’t worry, you two will soon see each other.

Goon 2: In heaven

*They all laughed sinisterly.

Arianne: What are you gonna do with her?!

Goon 3: Nothing, let’s just say that she’s gonna miss the final round. And we’re all gonna sing for her in her burial.

Arianne: What?! No! (Tried harder for her to escape)

*On the other hand, Ezekiel and his companions are quietly watching nearby. When suddenly….
