CHAPTER 22Miles received a call from Ryan, who was checking in to see how Olivia and her mom were doing. He went into another room so they could speak candidly.
“Nothing new yet from the FBI,” Miles said. “Olivia and her mom are doing as well as could be expected under the circumstances. On the plus side, we did have a great afternoon yesterday out on George’s boat.”
“Catch any fish?”
“No, but George may have snagged a new girlfriend.”
“Olivia?” Ryan asked in disbelief.
Miles corrected him with a laugh. “Of course not. It’s Mrs. Sims.”
“Wow, good for them. A ray of sunshine, so to speak. Listen, I’ve just completed a draft of the first installment of my exposé. I’d like you to review it before it’s finalized.”
