CHAPTER 19After dropping off his bags at his apartment, Ryan headed off to buy a few groceries and a bottle of the nice Prosecco he knew Rebecca liked. He texted her that he was home and would wait for her call to discuss plans for the evening.
He then sat down to prepare his outline for tomorrow morning’s discussion with Ted. Ryan knew he was on to something, and it was imperative that he convince Ted to buy in, particularly since he had some of the advance already spent.
After working on his outline for two hours, he closed his notebook and decided he should try a nap so he could be wide awake for his date with Rebecca. Thirty minutes into his nap, the phone rang. Unfortunately, it was Ted and not Rebecca.
“Are you back in town?” Ted asked.
“I am.”
“Good. Then we’re on for ten a.m.
