CHAPTER 30After a fitful night of sleep, Miles dragged himself out of bed just before eight a.m. Once downstairs he found Agents Stevens and Maye in the kitchen with Molly. The agents had apparently been up early. Coffee had been brewed, fresh-baked goods had been set out, and Molly had been out for her morning walk. “Thanks, guys. I really needed this,” Miles said as he lifted the coffee cup to his mouth. Both agents smiled, grabbed their cups in unison, and walked to their respective posts, one in the living room with a full view of the front of the house, the other in the dining room with a similar view of the driveway and backyard.
