Leyale's Pov Two Year's Later Sunlight streamed through tall pine trees that stood tall and still, their leaves rustling softly in the gentle breeze. A doe made her way to a babbling stream, her hooves quiet on the forest floor. She bent her head to drink, her large brown eyes scanning the surroundings. As she sipped the cool water, she heard a faint snap of a twig. Her ears perked up, and she looked up, searching for the source of the sound. The forest was quiet, with only the gentle gurgling of the stream breaking the silence. She returned to drinking, her thirst quenched.Suddenly, a burst of white fur exploded from the underbrush, and a wolf sprinted towards her. The doe's eyes widened in fear as the wolf chased her, its paws pounding the earth. The forest erupted into a chaotic dance of leaves and branches as the wolf pursued the doe.The wolf's fur was a brilliant white, its coat gleaming in the sunlight. Its eyes seemed to burn with an inner intensity, driving it forward with a fierce determination. The doe darted and weaved as she desperately tried to flee the persuing predator, but the wolf was relentless, its jaws snapping mere inches from her heels. As they tore through the forest, the trees blurred together, and the only sound was the pounding of paws and the ragged breathing of the chase. The wolf's hot breath washed over the doe's fleeing form, and she knew she couldn't outrun her pursuer forever. Just when it seemed the wolf would catch its prey, the doe made a sharp turn, and the wolf followed, its paws skidding on the forest floor. Just as the wolf was about to pounce, a voice echoed through the forest, startling the wolf and causing her to miss the doe. The wolf let out a frustrated snarl as the doe bounded away to safety. The wolf cursed under her breath, "What the f**k, Liam! I almost had it!" Liam's voice chimed in her mind slightly amused, "Now's not the time for goofing off, Leyale. Dad's looking for you." Leyale, lets out a mental sigh and reluctantly gave up the chase. She turned and padded back through the forest, her white fur standing out against the earthy tones of the trees. After shifting back she puts on her clothes and began heading back to the pack house grumbling the whole way about her failed hunt. As Leyale walked back to the pack house, she wore a casual outfit consisting of ablack tank top and tight blue jeans, the fabric clinging to her graceful and curvy body. Her white hair cascaded down her back in a long, three-stranded braid, the ends swaying gently with each step. Her feet were clad in sneakers, and a few leaves stuck to her clothes from her recent chase into the woods. She trudged along, her eyes fixed on the path ahead, still grumbling to herself about missing her hunt. The sunlight filtering through the trees cast dappled shadows on the ground, and the scent of pine and earth filled the air. Leyale's thoughts were preoccupied with her failed hunt and her father's impending lecture, her mind whirling with excuses and justifications about why she was out hunting alone. As she excited the wood's. The North River Pack house was a sprawling estate nestled among the trees, its rustic charm blending seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. The main house was a large, two-story structure made of natural stone and wood, with a steeply pitched roof and a wraparound porch. The windows were large and expansive, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding forest. The estate was surrounded by lush greenery, with tall trees shading the property and a meandering stone path leading to the front door. A small stream ran through the property, its gentle gurgling providing a soothing background noise. The air was filled with the scent of pine and wildflowers, creating a sense of serenity and tranquility. The interior of the house was warm and inviting, with exposed wooden beams and stone fireplaces. The decor was a mix of modern and rustic elements, reflecting the pack's connection to nature and their rich history as one of the largest and most powerful packs in the America's. The house was filled with the sounds of pack members going about their daily lives, creating a sense of warmth and community that her mother the Luna prides herself in keeping strong. Despite her current frustration, she looked forward to returning to the warmth and familiarity of the pack house. As she stepped inside the foyer she saw her big brother and the future alpha Liam standing in the foyer with his arms crossed looking serious. Her brother was gorgeous with windswept auburn hair and their fathers forest green eye's, he was tall and toned and was dressed in a sleeveless shirt and jeans showing off his toned biceps and chest. Seeing the look on his face she sighed knowing a lecture was coming and she was right because as soon as she got close enough Liam opened his mouth and began bombarding her with questions. "Where where you, do you know how worried we all where with you out in the woods alone especially with the rumors of rogue and ferals we've been getting" he scolded. Leyale looked down " I'm sorry I just needed to go out for a run to clear my head" she said. Liam pinched the bridge of his nose Clear your head?" Liam repeated, his voice laced with frustration. "You're a member of this pack, Leyale. "You're not some lone wolf who can just wander off whenever you feel like it. We have responsibilities, and we have to look out for each other."Leyale shifted her weight, feeling a mixture of guilt and defensiveness. "I know, Liam. I just needed some space, okay? I wasn't thinking about the danger's so I'm sorry ok." Liam's expression softened slightly, and he unfolded his arms. "Leyale, you're not just any member of this pack. You're... my little sister and the situation out they're is complicated. And with the rogues and ferals on the move, we can't afford to have you out there alone, not knowing what's going on." Leyale raised an eyebrow, sensing there was more to Liam's concern than just her safety. "What do you mean, 'complicated'?" Liam hesitated, then seemed to decide against pursuing that line of conversation. "Just be more careful, okay? mom and dad are already stressed about the pack's safety. Let's not add to it." Leyale nodded, knowing she'd pushed her brother's patience enough for one day. "I'll be more careful, Liam. I promise" she said softly. Liam's expression softened further, and he opened his arms, pulling Leyale into a warm hug. "Hey, I know you're not a little kid anymore, but you're still my little sister, and I worry about you. We all do." Leyale relaxed into the hug, feeling a sense of comfort and security. She had always been close to Liam, and despite their occasional disagreements, he had always been there for her."I know, Liam," she said, her voice muffled against his shoulder. "I just need some freedom, you know? I'm not a pup anymore." Liam chuckled and ruffled her hair. "I know, I know. You're growing up, and I need to let you spread your wings. But just be careful, okay? I don't want anything to happen to you."Leyale smiled and pulled back, looking up at her brother. "I'll be fine, Liam. I promise." Liam smiled back and brushed a strand of hair out of her face. "Good. Now, how about we go find some lunch? I'm starving." Leyale grinned and nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. Sometimes, having a big brother like Liam wasn't so bad most of the time when he wasn't annoying she thought. Just then their mother Sophie walked into the foyer, They're mother was a very beautiful woman and a beloved and respected Luna she was wearing an elegant blue dress that matched her deep blue eyes with her long auburn hair done up in an elegant bun. Sophie's expression was stern as she gazed at her two children. "Liam, Leyale, what's going on here? I could sense the tension from the kitchen." Liam straightened, his arms dropping to his sides. "Mom, Leyale went off on her own again. She didn't tell anyone where she was going or when she'd be back." Sophie's eyes narrowed, her gaze focusing on Leyale. "Leyale, you know better than to worry the pack like that. What's going on with you?" Leyale felt a twinge of guilt, knowing she'd caused concern for her family and the pack. She looked down, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry, Mom. I just needed some space." Sophie sighed, her expression softening slightly. "Leyale, you're not a lone wolf. You're part of this pack, and we look out for each other. We were worried sick about you especially with those dam ferals and we'rewolf hunters lurking near our territory" she said. Leyale nodded, feeling a pang of regret. "I know, Mom. It won't happen again." Her mother nodded satisfied good now go go shower and get something to eat her mother said. Leyale smiled but just as she was about too she felt a pulse in her mind. " Leyale my office now".
