Leyala's Pov As she sat in the passenger seat of Kayden's car she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She had no idea where he was taking her or what his plans were for her. All she knew was that she was in trouble. Kayden's eyes were fixed on the road his jaw clenched in concentration. Leyala glared at him her anger and frustration simmering just below the surface. "Where are we going?" she demanded her voice low and even. He didn't respond he just kept driving his eyes fixed on the road ahead. She glared at him, my frustration growing. "Seriously, can you at least tell me where we're going? Or am I just a prisoner now?" Kayden's expression remained stoic, his jaw clenched in concentration. She could sense his focus on driving, but it didn't deter her from trying to get a rise out of him. "Hey, I'm talking to you!" She said, poking him in the arm. "You can't just kidnap me and expect me to go along with it." Leyala's eyes narrowed. She wasn't going to let him get away with this. She was going to make him talk to her even if it killed her. With a sudden movement she reached out and turned off the van causing it to screech to a halt. His head turned to her his eyes blazing with barely contained anger. "What the f**k do you think you're doing?" he growled his voice low and menacing. Leyala just smiled sweetly her heart racing with excitement. "I'm tired of being ignored" she said her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I want some answers and I'm not leaving this car until I get them." Kayden's eyes narrowed his gaze piercing. For a moment Leyala thought she saw a glimmer of admiration in his eyes but it was quickly replaced by his usual cold look " Then ask your question" he said jaw clenched. "Why did you take me prisoner?" she asked staring into his eyes. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose "You're not a prisoner, Leyala," he said, his deep voice low and even. "You're my mate. And as such, you'll be coming with me." She scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Mate? You said that at the solstice already Newsflash, buddy: I didn't sign up for that." "You're a feisty one aren't you?" he said his voice dripping with amusement. "I like that."Leyala rolled her eyes. "Save the flattery for someone who cares" she said. "Just tell me where we're going." Kayden's expression turned serious. "We're going to my pack" he said. "You'll be staying there with me."Leyala's heart sank. She had been afraid of that. She was trapped and she didn't know how to escape. But she was determined to find a way out. No matter what it took. As they got closer to their destination he spoke again. " You'll be trained to become my wife and Luna of my packs as such I expect complete obedience from my mate" he said. She glared " You think I'll submit to you just because the moon goddess chose you as my supposed mate I believe in making my own choices, not being bound by some predestined fate. And I definitely don't believe in being claimed and ordered by some alpha-asshole who thinks he can just take what he wants without asking." His gaze hardened hearing that his eyes darkening dangerously pulling over the van he gripped her neck and forced her to look into his darkened eyes. " It doesn't matter what that b***h up in the sky or you think your mine now little wolf and I intend to take what's mine so one way or another You're going to learn to submit to me, Leyala one way or another" she growled. Despite his hand around her throat she still managed to shoot him a defiant look." Oh, I'm shaking in my boots." she said staring defiantly into his eyes. With one final growl he pushed her away and started back up the van As the van accelerated, and she felt a rush of adrenaline as the scenery blurred outside. Even though she was trapped, and she knew it. But even then she had no intention of going down without a fight. And she knew she was about to make the feared blood alpha's life a living nightmare.
