I couldn’t believe that Max was still insisting on continuing with his lies even though I had made it clear to him that I now knew the truth. He was still trying to convince me that Michael was the enemy. I probably should have given him the chance to explain himself but I didn’t want him to confuse me any further and the fact that the elders who hadn’t shown much like in Michael ever since this whole thing started were supporting Michael’s story made them more believable to me. It was possible that they probably took his side since they were his elders, but they had been on Max’s side from the beginning, and they were pushing him to be the alpha.
