Aubrey awoke to the sound of hushed talking. She tried to move but quickly discovered that she was wrapped up in Broderick’s tight embrace. The slow relaxed sound of his breathing led her to believe he was soundly sleeping. Again, Aubrey didn’t know how long she had slept for, and she was anxious to get home to her daughters.
