CHAPTER 4

1672 Words
A family driver had been waiting for him at the end of the runway, ready to drive him to the apartment. Along the way from the airport to the apartment, he chose not to fall asleep. Enjoyed the night atmosphere of the City of London that he had not seen in 4 years. David always shied away from doing things in the UK, particularly London. There are too many memories he and Sarah have in this town, and too many hate them here. David took the phone from the grey coat he was wearing, because it had been ringing ever since. Glance at the caller's screen before deciding to answer the call. The name of the man who brought his girl into this world is displayed on his phone screen. Edward Jacob tells him that Sarah is currently spending time with her friends. Now David has arrived at a luxury two-bedroom apartment he owned long before getting to know Sarah. Soon she cleaned herself after tidying up some of her clothes in the closet. He prefers to soak in the warm water that fills the bathtub. Repeatedly he drowned his fist into the water, stretching out all the nerves of his brain that felt so chaotic. Stretched his entire body nerves a little tense after the trip. Not to mention the lack of rest time also affects his current body condition. Her decision to return to London, the city of a thousand memories of her love story with Sarah. He immediately raised his head back to the surface when he heard a message coming in on his phone. He dried his hands with a small towel on the side of the bathtub and grabbed a mobile phone on a nightstand located not far from his current position. A short message from Edward Jacob tells David where Sarah is. Without thinking he immediately finished his relaxing event in the bathroom and dressed neatly to meet his lady of worship. Sarah is not like most girls, she is different and very picky for romantic affairs. Soon the black sports car drove the streets of London to a nightclub located at the old South of Waterloo bus station. Once there his eagle eyes traced each side of the club which was crowded with people dancing. He squinted when he caught the figure of a blonde girl still wearing an office suit with a man and a woman. "Sarah..." David took a deep breath as he walked among the crowd. "Vodka," David ordered a drink for himself at the bartender. He chose to sit in a bar stool that was directly opposite Sarah's position. The look in her eyes can not be separated from Sarah who is now sitting alone, because her two best friends are enjoying the music played by the DJ. "Your vodka, sir," says the bartender as he thrusts a bottle of vodka with glass at David. "Thank you," immediately poured on the glass in hand and drank it with a single sip. I really haven't given up, honey, and I hope you remember me back, murmuring it in my heart shortly before re-chugging the Vodka he ordered. The sound of the blow is loud enough to be heard to the bar table, because the position is not far from the VIP visitor's seat. David was also jolted as soon as the sound appeared, he found out where the loud slap sound came from. "Sarah?" moment David mutely finds Sarah having an argument with a young man. "Sarah slapped the guy? What's wrong? She's not used to doing that," she thought to heart because she knew very well what a beautiful female character she was. "You guys just shut up?" he asked the bartender who was serving drinks to other guests. "It's common, it must be a gigolo who's offering himself, but it looks like Miss is not interested," the bartender's reply did not satisfy David. Eventually he got out of his seat and walked up to Sarah. He stares at Sarah's annoyed face, instantly realizing what is going on. But he can't do much other than be neutral, as he realizes that Sarah doesn't know him and will only cause a bigger fuss if he gets emotional. Sarah ran behind her body after saying what had happened. David can feel if the girl's hand shakes violently while holding the one she is wearing. I'll take care of it, Honey, inwardly. David manages to get the young man out of his presence as well as Sarah. After Sarah's two best friends came to her, she decided to leave. Previously David warned Sarah not to come back to the club. Even in a different way, at least he's tried. He knows Sarah too well, which doesn't fit into a crowd like this at all. Although he didn't want to get out of Sarah's face, he had to do it. Because there are emotions and feelings that he has to take care of, David doesn't want to force Sarah to remember him. Wanted to kiss the girl's forehead and say that she was very longing. The puzzles in Sarah's memory are so complicated, it's not easy to reorder them. "You're really driving me almost crazy, Bad Girl!" David chugs vodka's last glass in his hand, before he finally decides to take to the dance floor. Enjoyed his grey Friday night at the nightclub with the best sound system in the world. For the first time in a long time he enjoyed this atmosphere, no matter the surroundings. All he cared about was the sense of disappointment and anger at being forgotten by the girl he loved. "Stupid! You're so stupid, David Schneider. He doesn't remember you, and you can't forget him for a second," he continues to swear at himself in every move, until he accidentally bumps into someone hard enough. "I'm sorry, miss. Are you okay?" David reached out to help the girl who was seated after colliding with him. For a moment he was silent staring at the familiar girl's face in his eyes. The shoulder-length brunette girl greeted her helping hand and had stood before her. The grey manic stared at him intensely, until moments later he squealed in excitement amid the sound of the music. "Dave???" the girl was shocked when she realized who was standing in front of her. "Halsey? You're Halsey?" A warm smile is displayed on his handsome face when shaking the girl's hand. Now the two decide to have a conversation at the bar table where David has been monitoring Sarah's movements. "Since when did you arrive in London? Uncle Edward didn't tell us," Halsey began to launch her question and answer action out of curiosity. "Just how many hours ago, maybe Uncle Edward was very busy. You have an appointment with Sarah here?" David pointed an empty bottle of Vodka at the bartender to order again. "Sister Sarah here? where? I just arrived and there was no promise with him," Halsey's curiosity grew. A year Sarah doesn't like to come to crowded places, let alone nightclubs like this. The detective's soul in him is becoming more and more. Halsey Claire Jacob, Sarah's cousin and the youngest grandchild in Jacob's family. The two were very close because there were only two granddaughters in their family. Even how Sarah and David's love story he knows, although he doesn't know for sure what the reason for Sarah's forget all about the man. "I asked him to go home before there was more chaos here," he murmured quietly before returning to chug his Vodka. "What mess?" Halsey squinted with both hands squinting in front of her chest. David just snarled the chin of a young man who was dancing. "He? What's wrong with the man?" asked a curious Halsey as she pointed at the object with her index finger. "Don't point it at him, Halsey!" he drew Halsey's hand. "You're always acting like you want to, and please don't act like a child, Halsey," David stares intently at the girl's grey bead. "So tell me what happened, this Halsey knows," he whined forcing David to say what had happened to Sarah. "How old are you now?" asked David seem not interested. "20 years, why?" Halsey still frowns as David pulls his hand to leave, soon after paying their bill. "You're still like the 15-year-old I used to know," David smiles obliquely as he leaves the crowd enjoying the music. "Let me go!" Halsey takes her hands off David's grasp, she stands in front of her cousin's strapping and sexy lover. "So what happened to Sarah?" the girl again crossed her arms in front of her chest with her head looking up sharply at David. "He's a gigolo trying to annoy Sarah," David walks to his car which has just been delivered by the valley in the club lobby. "Crazy! I have to tell Brother Luke about this," Halsey prepares to contact her eldest cousin when David forcibly takes his cell phone. "No need, contacting him will only make things more chaotic. You know what if your cousin intervened? Let me take you home," David opened the car door for The Jacobs little girl. Halsey chose to just go according to David's words, because he knew the character of all his brothers. He deftly snatches his phone from David's hand which just shakes his head at his behavior. Along the way the two choose not to talk to each other, especially as Halsey appears to be busy with her phone. Until now David's car had been in front of the mansion owned by Karl Jacob, Halsey's father. "Remember my message, Mr. Profesor! He'll come back to you, only if you touch the whole of him!" Halsey giggles as she yells at David before finally disappearing behind the door of his house. "The boy..." he can only smile at all of Halsey's innocent and sometimes stupid ravings. Afterwards he drove back to the streets of London, which still looks busy at midnight.
