Chapter - 21

When Sussan saw him stuff his mouth with food, she laughed and said, "Eat slowly. We won't force you to contact him until you are comfortable with doing that." Nameless then dropped a small smile that was difficult to distinguish if he had really smiled or not. “I think we need to stay strong and try to get out of this place first. I feel that the mirrors are still moving towards us even though we are already out of that place,” Brenda said and shook her head to clear the illusions that appeared in front of her eyes. “You are right. This place is really feeling cramped from the time we decided to get some rest. I think we need to speed up and try to find an exit as soon as possible,” David said while trying to think of a way to get them all to safety. In the meantime, they all failed to notice that Nameless eyes had suddenly changed to mustard green. He realized his second attack was about to happen at any time now. He tried hard to hide that fact from everyone and kept on staring at the ground. He stopped eating and saved the remaining food in his pocket. "Looks like my son is done eating... Why don't we start now?" Brenda asked and stood up from the ground. Once they all packed and after they walked along the path for some time, the tunnel curved and they had to make a right turn. The minute they took the turn suddenly they noticed lava flowing from one end to another. "What should we do now?" Brenda asked as she tried to move backward. "Don't move, the way we came from has been closed and there is nothing but a wall standing in front of us right now," Sussan said and stopped Brenda.  The heat waves surrounded them and made it difficult for them to even open their eyes. "We will have to find a way to escape from this lava if we don't want to get roasted in this excessive heat," David said while trying to not fall into the lava streaming right next to his feet. "Wait, I have an idea... I am not sure if it will work but I read that we could make a temporary bridge using the golden flower's petal and Asran's dust." Sussan said and walked very close to the lava. "Be careful," Brenda said to Sussan while gripping Nameless's hands. Meanwhile, Sussan broke one of the golden color petals and marked the petal with a few specks of Asran’s dust on top of it. Then she let it float on the lava while pushing it to the other end. The lava immediately hardened and the hygelnewl plant's flower petal and Asran's dust created a solid bridge on top of the flowing lava. “Let us hurry, I don't know for how long this bridge could stay above the lava. We need to be faster and reach the other end before the lava dissolves this path,” Sussan pulled David and ran on top of the bridge and reached the other end.  Nameless pushed Brenda first, before she could even realize what had happened she was already halfway on the bridge. When she was about to reach the other end, she noticed that Nameless did not cross the bridge and sniffed the Asran’s dust that had fallen on the ground. “Nameless!” Sussan shouted and waved her hands to come to the other end.  After hearing her shout, he woke up from his dream and looked in the opposite direction with a blank expression. The bridge had started to dissolve slowly and the hardened pieces of lava particles sank deep into the stream. “Do not waste any more time over there standing like a fool. The bridge will collapse at any minute. Make haste and cross over,” Brenda ordered from the other end. Still, Nameless stood there without any reaction. He did not even make an effort to cross the bridge. He was standing like a statue while looking at the bridge slowly disappearing into the lava. "What happened to him? Why is he behaving like he does not understand us?" Brenda asked and felt frustrated. Sussan stared at him and found him almost lifeless. She wondered if he was having his second attack. "This is bad... This is really bad... David, hurry over and bring him here before the bridge collapses. Please run..." Sussan pushed David towards the half-broken bridge.  So David rushed towards him even though he was unwilling to cross over once again. He darted like an arrow and pulled him to the other side in no time. By the time they reached, Nameless had fainted and his whole body turned into ash color.  "What happened to him? Why is he grey?" Brenda worriedly asked while rubbing his hands and feet to wake him up. "Let's get him out of this cave first... I don't think staying here will do him any good. The heat from the lava will make his attack even worse," Sussan said and then asked David to carry him out of the cave. David felt irritated but still followed Sussan's request and lifted Nameless from the ground. They didn't have to walk for long before they entered a thick evergreen forest.  When they reached outside the cave they noticed that they came into the ‘Secare’ forest. Sussan stopped everyone before they went deep into the forest. She made David place Nameless on the ground, just right before the entrance of the cave.  "Brenda, David, try to hold both his legs and hands and do not let go of them at any time," Sussan said and then placed a yellow cloth on top of Nameless eyes. Once she covered his eyes, she then started to say magical words and took out a little bit of Asran’s dust from her pouch. She then put the dust near his nose and made it mix with Nameless's breath. The minute the Asran's dust entered his nose, he shivered and his body started to shake violently. Sussan hurriedly took out a clay pot and added a little bit of Asran’s dust, Renlow powder, and half of the remaining golden petal that she used before to help Nameless overcome the first attack.  She then turned towards Brenda and asked her, "Do you have anything that is related to Robert like his hair or nails or something very close to him and he always had it in his body." "I will hold his hands until you find Robert's belongings..." Sussan placed the pot on the side and held Nameless's hands as Brenda started to dig her bag. As she couldn't find a hair or nail of Robert, she took a locket that belonged to him which he always wore until recently. She held the locket tightly in her hand as she did not know when Robert put his locket into her bag.  'Did he already know that we would get into such a situation?' She wondered and then placed the locket into the clay pot. Brenda then went on to hold Nameless's hands down while Sussan put a few drops of magical potion into the clay pot. She then shook the pot and then removed the locket from it while mumbling a few words in their ancient language. David and Brenda couldn't understand what she was saying as they had never come across those words before. They looked at Sussan with an astonished gaze. "Don't worry, I am not using black magic if you two are worried about the spell that I placed on the locket," Sussan told them. She then took the locket out of the clay pot and placed it on top of his heart. She then said, "In the name of the Asran star, I beg mother nature to help this half boy revive and also save the host of this boy. Let the brothers stay apart until they could reunite and form a union.” Once she finished saying that Nameless’s body started to glow while the locket shook on top of him. His body trembled and it became difficult to hold his body down on the land. So, Sussan too held his body and tried to keep it on the ground. At that moment, sparks ignited from the clay pot that was set aside and almost made them close their eyes. Sussan held the Nameless head and chanted a few magical words. “Illumio... agario… miniaae… gatherinoa… vastento… paseonira…” She continued to chant but then they were still unable to control his body. She then took the leftover ingredients in the clay pot and made Nameless drink it. The potion helped him calm down for a few seconds before he started to violently shiver once again. She hurriedly checked his pulse and found that it was almost close to none.
