I added a bottle of soda alongside a box of cookies into the shopping trolley. “It's the weekend, how about we spend it at the Elveron club. There is a party I'm sure you wouldn't want to miss.” Elena mentioned, adding a can of milk into the shopping trolley. “I wish I could but Ethan will be in town soon.” “How soon?” “I really don't know. He comes back when he pleases. I wouldn't want him to come back to an empty house.” “Why bother anyways? It's just for the night. We will be back before he makes it home” Elena said, branching to another section of the mall. It's been three days since Ethan and I last spoke. He had made up an excuse about a business trip and since then he had neither called or taken any of my calls. I pushed the trolley along, my hands gently grazing over the set of frozen foods stacked into the refrigerator. I nodded in agreement. “What time does the party start?” I asked with a wide grin. “That's my girl!. The party starts at 8pm but I'll be over at your place by 6.” “Sounds like a plan!” * * * Elena dropped in at about 15 minutes past 6. She was dressed in a pair of bum shorts with a crop top that revealed her flat belly alongside her figurine shape. “Hey girl!!” Elena screamed excitedly as she walked up to my porch. I opened up the door to her quick embrace. “You're not ready yet? c'mon let's get you ready.” Elena said, holding onto my hands as we walked into my room. * * * I took another glance at my reflection in the mirror. I applied a red lipstick across my lips while smacking them afterward. Elena looked across as she drove, “ You gonna have all them gents turning their heads tonight. You better not take my man” “You wish,” I added with a little giggle. “You know, I'm really happy we are doing this. Since your marriage with Ethan I can't recall when we had time to ourselves.” Elena continued, her eyes soft and tender as she glanced at me while returning her attention to the steering wheel. “I'm too,” I said, tenderly placing my hands over hers. We got to the Elveron club in no time. Loud music blasted from the speakers as we approached the entrance. At the entrance, Elena spoke briefly with the security team before they granted us entrance. “C'mon let's go have fun,” Elena said, holding me firmly as we walked in. Inside the club was another world. A DJ on stage had everyone on their toes, dancing to the rhythmic beats. This was the kind of fun I was out for tonight. The ladies whined their waist to the satisfaction of the men. Some of the men were bold enough to cradle their waist as the beats went up. We found a spot to sit while we watched the whole show go on. Two men approached where we sat “What's up ladies, do you guys care for a dance?. My buddy and I would love to have a dance” one of them said, drawing up close to Elena. “No thank you. We are good.” Elena said, brushing off the young man's extended arms. Just as they left, the second man winked at me. He looked oddly familiar but I couldn't exactly place where or how I'd met him. “Uhm, I'll be back in a moment,” Elena said, gently dropping her hands on my thighs as her eyes locked in with a dude at the extreme end of the hall. “You can't leave just yet,” I uttered but Elena was already walking up to the dude. The club became wilder as the music raged on. Elena was nowhere in sight leaving me all alone in the midst of all the fun. Beads of sweat slowly gathered up on my forehead. I poured in some whiskey as I tried to make sense of the solemnity. Each gulp got my eyes strained, my body quivering as I tried to still maintain consciousness. At this point, I could have just stayed back at home. The night was moving on and it suddenly made no sense I had taken such a risk and there was no fun in sight. “I wouldn't advise you to take another shot,” the young man who had looked familiar said, walking up to the table. Ignoring what he had just said, I poured in some more whiskey. I was about to have another gulp when he held off my hands and dropped the shot. He took the seat next to me. “You've had a lot to drink already,” he continued as he tried to pack up the drinks littered across the table. His masculine scent hit me hard and good as he leaned over the table, he smelt so good that I fought with myself not to hold him close. He looked up at me, our eyes locked in an instant. I couldn't help but take note of his sharp jawline with his broad shoulders. I tried as much as I could to avoid reaching out to his sharp features. “Thank you,” I managed to say. “You shouldn't be out here alone, we can go to my reserved VIP section.” I nodded with a little smirk as I avoided another contact with his eyes. He reached out for my hands which I gladly obliged too. He led me through the wild crowd, his scent distinct and leading me on despite the whole steaming heat. We got to his private VIP section, a big room with a centre table and a couple of sofas alongside a bed at the centre of the room. “Make yourself comfortable,” he said, directing me to one of the sofas. He brought a wine bottle from the refrigerator and brought along two glass cups. He took a seat next to me before he corked the wine bottle, pouring its content into the cups. “Cheers,” he said, raising up his glass to mine “Cheers,” I responded as the glasses clicked together. I gulped down its content, my eyes still fuzzy from the whiskey I had taken. Our eyes locked in again, this time fiercely as the music from the party echoed into the room. I was about to ask the stranger what his name was when his lips pushed hard against mine. I stared wildly into space as he withdrew back immediately, avoiding contact with my eyes. What just happened? I wondered loudly. That was a bold move but at the same time exciting too. I moved closer and cupped his face into my hands, directing it to mine. I pushed my body hard against his as my lips found his in a subtle embrace. The kiss intensified, each of us seeking better angles for the kiss in quick succession. Oh he felt so good with his tongue circling round my earlobe. He immediately withdrew and led me to the bed, sat me down and leaned his face into mine as we resumed back kissing. His hands caressed my breasts softly and in moments we all laid naked on the bed. * * * The next morning I was woken by a knock at the door. I looked around the strange room and wondered how I ended up there. The knock persisted again and I had to quickly put on my clothes. A bundle of cash was left at the lampshade with a note alongside “Thanks for the night, xoxo” I stared in disgust as the memories of last night flooded back. I had no way to find this man, I didn't know his name nor did I get his contact information. Damn! I finally took the money after I was done and opened up the room to the persistent knock. “Cleaning services,” the young lady said. “Sure,” I responded, making way for her as I held my bag to leave the room. * * * I worried as I searched for Elena through the half empty club. I let out a sigh of relief when my phone finally rang. “Finally she decides to call,” I muttered, while pulling off my phone from my bag. My body shook wildly, dropping off my phone as I saw Ethan's name appear. Ethan had to be back already. Without a second thought, I booked a ride. Elena could certainly still make it home. When I got home, I walked up to the front of my porch. My heart beating wildly as beads of sweat streaked down my cheeks. I got in with my key. Luckily Ethan was nowhere in sight. I tipped toed till I got to my room, reached out for the door handle while letting out a smile in absolute delight. “Where the hell have you been, you w***e!” Ethan called out as I gasped in shock.
