.....14 Years Ago..... "This is a beautiful place." Jon commented. At first he was against coming here but his wife insisted. She said she had a feeling that they needed to visit mount Tali in Baltimore. She was heavily pregnant. Jon and Jenn were very excited, they scan showed that it was twins. They immediately started coming up with names and eventually settled on Jake and Jessica. He looked up. "I think its about to rain, we should find shelter soon or else we will be soaked. I don't want you to catch a cold." "Don't worry babe we are almost there, the map says there is a cave about a few meter from where we are." Jenn reassured him. They had a bunch of people with them. A couple of doctors and nurses and some security. Jon wanted them to be cautious. She loved him for that. Even though her due date is in a few weeks she knew if the babies wanted to come out, they will. Which is why they asked her colleagues and friends to accompany her to this place. The mountain was not just that. It was an inactive volcano. She was very nervous about this. It's been a quincentennial since the volcano was active. The locals used to time its eruptions so they could be at a safe distance when it does. "Jenn do you think we will find any medicinal plants near by." Dr Kavi asked. Dr Kavi was a close friend of the couple. He is a couple of years older than Jen. He already started with his residency. Jenn looks up to the guy. He was also a witch and of three people here who knew that Jon and Jenn have magic. He hated keeping a secret from her friends from school but she knew better. Normal people don't react well to something they don't understand. "I don't know. I didn't do any research on that but we will look around and see what we can find." he promised him. "Oh I think that's the entrance, It looks so narrow. I hope I can fit through." She rubbed her big belly. "Come on babe you're not big." Jon tried to reassure her because she looked really worried. "I'm supposed to be the only skeptical one between the two of us. Everything will be fine." "Famous last word." she mumbled. She was a little tired from the walk and her back felt a little sore. She couldn't wait to get inside and sit down. The arrived at the entrance. Jon was right not to be worried about the entrance. It was about 100 meters tall and ten wide. They all entered the cave. One of the security guys lit a big portable lamp and the whole cave came to life. "Isn't this suppose to be a little bigger?" Danielle Jenn's friend asked a little confused. "This is the entrance, we have to to walk through there to get to the actual cave." Jenn replied and pointed to a passage way right in front of them. "Oh I didn't see that." Danielle giggled. They had to walk one after the other to get to their destination. Jenn went first followed by Jon. Then one by one others followed. "This doesn't look safe." Dr Marcus observed. "Is that a pit of some sort? Wait is this an active volcano?" "No, it's inact...." Jenn didn't even finish her words when there was a load roar and the whole place shook. Jon held her so tight, his heart was in his throat. His son's face flashed in his mind. He didn't want them to all die here. James was still too young to lose his parents. Then everything went quiet. Jenn screamed "Jon the babies are coming!" she started her breath exercise. Jon was afraid this will happen. He started thinking that he should have stood his ground more when Jenn said they should come here. But he was prepared for this "Everyone into positions." He yelled. Some started unpacking equipments, thick blankets for the make shift bed, heart monitor and everything else they will need. Even though his wife was having contractions she didn't give birth until around eleven at night. They were so happy and also scared because the valcona kept on rumbling. Jake and Jessica were so cute. Jon could stop smiling. Everything seemed calm until Jenn started screaming again. Jon took the babies from her arms and put them down on an inflatable bed and went back to her side. "What's happening?" he was panicking. "Please lift your knees for me Jenn." Dr Park asked then started examining her. "There is another baby coming, nurse Lia come and assist." Jon and Jenn couldn't believe their ears. How was it possible? They were not expecting this at all. Just one minute before midnight they welcomed their second daughter. .....14 Years Later..... Vanesa was in the car with mom on her way to school. The last time she was at any school was three years ago before her life fell apart. This step she is taking today is terrifying. She doesn't know whether to ask her mom to take a u-turn and go back home or keep quiet and face this heard on. "You know sweetheart you don't have to do this today. Baby steps remember?" her mom interrupts her thoughts. She also doesn't want to do this but she knows that she needs to take this step or else she will never heal. Even though her mom is telling her to take baby steps she know how she really feel. Both her parents and siblings have been by her side through out the heart ache. She know that she wasn't the only one who needed her to heal. Yes it's been three years since that monster destroyed her and left her and her family to pick up the shards. She still suffers from the nightmare and scars. But she will not cry today because today is her version of rising from the ashes. At least that's what she tells herself. "It's okay mom, I am okay." She finally replies to her mom. But she doesn't face her mom while speaking, instead she stares out the window. "I'm just worried about my classes. It's been two weeks since school started, I hope I'm not that far behind." "OH don't worry, you my daughter are a straight A student so I know you'll catchup very quickly." Her mom says with a proud smile on her face. Of course Vanesa know that even though her mom mean what she said. She is still worried about her. It was Vanesa's idea to go back to real classes at an actual school instead of being home schooled. Even though it was her idea it still took her two weeks to actually go to school. Just as her mom was about to say something else to her the school came to view. ELLENTON HIGH. The school looked so big. She felt more nervous. "The is real" she thought. He mom parked the car. The minute the car stopped Vanesa opened the door and got out. "Love you mom. See you later" then she closed the door so fast. She didn't want her mom try to change her mind about this. She walk fast to what seems to be the entrance to the school. She looked back and saw her mother's car exiting the school. She was relieved. But just as she about to ascend the steps to the entrance of the school building she felt as if someone punched her on the chest area and that took her breath away just for a few seconds. She tried to be discreet about it. She didn't want the student loitering around to think she is a weirdo. So as discreetly as she can she took a few big breaths in and out until she was sure that she was calm. "What in the world was that?" she asked herself...
