December 24, 2014, Alcott EstateIt"s Christmas Eve once again, or so it seems. Tara and the girls sit in the family room around the Christmas tree, just as they had in her vision, but this time, the evening is calm without the threat of Tom Spencer. Tara, in continual awe of her new gift, blinks consistently throughout the night, watching brilliant hues change and deepen around the girls. Again, dark-violet, brilliant-blue, emerald-green, metallic-gold, and pink appears a deeper roseate tonight.
Tara has developed what Nyla calls mystic eyes brought on by her vision of Tom. The vision was so strong, the pigmentation of her iris changed permanently. Now and forever, a hint of gold tints her hazel eyes. Tara recalls the startling image in the mirror the morning after December fifteenth. At
