Chapter 1: The Spirit Proclamation
The Main Hall of the Yu Clan, located in the heart of Green Jade City within the Western Region of the Great Brahma World, stood with majestic silence. Its ancient stone pillars, veined with runes of jade light, had seen generations of cultivators rise and fall. Today, however, the air shimmered with anticipation. The Spirit Proclamation Ceremony was about to begin. Within the vast hall, dozens of youthful figures, clad in ceremonial jade-colored robes, gathered before an ornate stone platform. These were the young disciples of the Yu Clan, most between the ages of fourteen and fifteen, their eyes filled with both excitement and anxiety. This was the day their spirit bodies would be revealedthe day their future paths would be unveiled. I wonder what my Spirit Body is going to be, murmured a young disciple, his hands clenched in nervous hope. Another nearby disciple laughed, shaking his head. Does it matter? Everyone knows the real spotlight belongs to the two young masters of the clan. You mean Young Master Yu Long and Young Master Yu Tianhao? someone whispered. The crowd fell into low murmurs as even the elders lining the front rows took on solemn expressions. One of them, his beard long and white like a snow-covered pine branch, spoke with gravity: This years ceremony may decide the fate of our Yu Clan. The Elder overseeing the ceremony stepped forward, robes billowing as he raised a hand. The room quieted instantly. Let the Spirit Proclamation Ceremony begin, he declared. A girl stepped forwardslim, graceful, with pride in her gaze. Yu Fei, long regarded as the top female talent of the younger generation. Place your hand upon the Spirit-Seeking Crystal, the elder instructed. The platform she approached was unlike ordinary stoneit shimmered faintly with golden and silver threads running through it. At its center sat a transparent crystal ball, swirling faintly with pale mist. Yu Fei placed her hand upon it. Within moments, wind began to swirl around her feet, her robe lifting as though caught in an invisible gale. The crystal lit up with pale blue and silver light, casting dancing shadows across the walls. Flamboyant Wind Dao Body! the elder announced, his voice echoing through the hall. Ranked twenty-fifth among Spirit Bodies! A roar of amazement rose from the young disciples. A ranked Spirit Body! Though not among the top twenty, it was still an extraordinary feat. Gasps of admiration filled the air. Yu Fei bowed slightly, pride glimmering in her eyes as she stepped back. Next, the elder called, and the halls atmosphere shifted. A youth stepped out. He wore a robe of black and jade, and his expression was fierce yet refined, like an unsheathed blade held at rest. His name was Yu Long, one of the clans most prodigious sons. Its young master Yu Long! He might even surpass Sister Yu Fei! someone whispered. Without hesitation, Yu Long stepped forward and laid his palm on the crystal. The hall held its breath. The crystal flared. A pulsing orange-yellow light poured out, and ancient characters began to form on the platform beneath it. Green Jade Body! the elder exclaimed, momentarily losing his composure. Rank 19! The crowd erupted in stunned voices. Isnt that the Dao Body of the founding ancestor? Heavens our clan might be ushering in a new age! Yu Longs lips curled into a confident smirk as he turned his gaze to the back of the hall. My rival, he whispered, I hope you wont disappoint me. At once, all heads turned in the same direction. Footsteps echoed softly. A figure walked forward, unhurried and serene. His long deep-blue hair flowed behind him, tied at the end with a crimson thread. His robes were lined with silver stars, and his eyes his eyes were like calm lakes under moonlightvast, unreadable, yet impossibly deep. This was Yu Tianhao, the son of the clan head. He stepped onto the stage. For a brief moment, even the elders leaned forward in anticipation. Yu Tianhao placed his hand on the crystal. A burst of blinding light eruptedwhite, gold, redso intense the young disciples shielded their eyes. Then, just as suddenly, the crystal dimmed and silence filled the hall. No color remained. No aura. Just silence. The elder stepped closer, confused. Then the words began to form on the stone platform, glowing faintly with ethereal energy. Sage Talent. The elders eyes widened. Sage Talent he breathed, stunned. A natural-born Sage Talent A ripple of disbelief and awe moved through the hall. In the world of cultivation, Spirit Bodies were the foundation of strength and talent. The thirty ranked Dao Bodies were supreme, revered and legendary. Yet above even thatrarer than rarewere the Sage Talents. Not technically Dao Bodies, Sage Talents were mysterious innate gifts that strengthened as their wielders did. Each was unique. Each defied logic. And each was powerful enough to rival, or even surpass, the top 10 Dao Bodies. Sage Talents are born once in a thousand years Two monsters in one generation? someone whispered. What kind of luck does our clan have? As Yu Tianhao stepped down from the platform, Yu Long met his gaze. My rival, Yu Long said, with an arched brow. You never cease to surprise me. Did you think I would lose out to you? Yu Tianhao replied with a quiet smile. The crowd murmured with excitement. The rest of the ceremony passed swiftlyother disciples awakened ordinary or low-grade spirit bodies, none close to the brilliance of the two young masters. After the ceremony, the disciples gathered once more, led by one of the elders. Now that youve awakened your Spirit Bodies, he said, you will begin your cultivation journey. Youve entered the Body Tempering Realmthe foundation of all paths. Strengthening your physique, blood, and marrowthis is where all true warriors begin. Groans echoed from some of the younger disciples, who had heard the speech countless times. Tomorrow, you will also pay respects to the Clan Elders and receive your initial cultivation resources. Prepare yourselves. The path ahead is long. Yes, Elder! they all replied in unison.
