Chapter 15 1846 “Scarlet, I do believe it might snow today,” Ginny said as she stared out the window. The tide was coming in more slowly these days, as if labored by the ice that must be forming near the surface of the water, just at the edge of the shoreline. She had only been out to the ocean when it was bitterly cold a few times, and she remembered getting too close to the spray. The chill had taken her breath away, and Spencer had laughed heartily at her expense. Despite the discomfort, it had been a lovely day, and she hoped to take another walk with him and their baby on such a day in the near future.
