Race Against Time

The kid still hasn't seem my fourth form. I could use it and I'm sure that I could destroy the magic in place here. But, it would drain everything I have stockpiled now. It would be bad if we were to encounter enemies on our way out and I don't have anything stockpiled.    But we were in a race against time and I just have to do this.    So I use the fourth form of "Stockpile" to smash the walls.    My newest form was a single punch. It was the Unstoppable Spear. I used up days and days worth of my Stockpile just for one punch.    This is one of the few times I have used it and I still don't fully understand what this fourth forms capabilities are but this was my most powerful by far. I named this technique after the Irresistible force paradox. This single punch was modelled after the spear part of the "What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object".     It was a punch so condensed and filled with Stockpile that it glowed so brightly that It was blinding. It was a punch that stops for no one and will always hit its target. This target being the walls where the magic was imbued in.    My fist connected with the wall. An earth shaking shockwave was sent out from my fist. It not only destroyed the magic surrounding the walls but pretty much the whole building went down as well.     At that quick moment the kid instantly used the wind to grab our bags as we booked it.    According to the kid, the old dude was the only one who could use magic and that it can only be used in things that he has built. Since we destroyed the bed and breakfast we just have to get back to my car and head the hell out of this bed and breakfast.    We hopped in the car. The kid threw our bags to the back seat. And I stepped on the gas. The whole time while we were back on the highway the kid and I had our eyes glues to side and interior mirror. Even though we were already far gone we just kept looking at the rubble of what was once the bed and breakfast.     I kind of felt bad that I destroyed an establishment that was around for thirty years. But at the same time that old f**k was gonna sell us out to Head Hunter so I guess we're even.    "Hey Eddie, we got away", the kid said. His eyes still glued to the side mirror.    "We did but that old guy was still able to call Head Hunter. We're still in deep trouble no matter how far away we are already from the bed and breakfast", I reply to the kid. We still have two whole days of travel left. We should assume that we already caught the Head Hunter's attention. This means that starting tomorrow he's probably gonna have his eyes on us. This means we can't stay at any inn or bed and breakfast anymore kid.    And if we ever stop over we only stop for gas and food. We have to make it quick. I think we shouldn't even risk going to the toilet in whatever stop over we arrive at. I'll just pull over. We can't risk getting caught kid.    I feel bad for the kid. But we just have to toughen it out for the next two days of travel. Once we arrive at the port harbor we could definitely book an inn for the night before we go ahead and infiltrate the next hideout.    Doing that punch earlier still drained me. I have to somehow manage to stay awake and drive for 2 more days since we couldn't stop to sleep. Even right now my left arm is still shaking from that punch. I've only ever experimented with it for a couple of times but I never actually fully did it like I did earlier. That punch was definitely overkill but since we were racing against time I just had to do it earlier. If I just had enough time right now to practice it for a bit I can definitely learn how to control its power output. But since we were constantly travelling I really don't  have a place to try it out on.    I probably won't be able to practice it even if we go back home and try it at our training place. This move was so incredibly destructive and took so much of my Stockpile that it would take too long to fill up my Stockpile before I can actually use it again.    And also by the time I have a grasp of this technique, the sheer power of that punch would probably level the mountain. Which is  definitely a no go. Now that I think about it, things might looking bad considering that by the time we arrive at the port harbor I still won't have my Stockpile replenished. It would be extremely dangerous to waltz in there and I can't even use first form.    Maybe I could gather enough for Stockpile if as soon as we enter they start shooting at us but that would be too stupid. The place we're going to is a place where Head Hunter get's his supply of weapon and bullets so I'd assume that everyone is going to open fire as soon as we arrive.    I can absorb the bullets but what I worry about is the kid. He still hasn't got his whole wind blocking thing perfectly practiced and just the sheer amount of firearms there would tear through that wind barrier of his. And it took a lot out of his magic whenever he uses it so it would be unwise.     I might just go ahead and let the kid wait a bit so I could absorb all the shots. And once I have enough I could enter my third form "Achilles" and just tank some more bullets. But still I'm unsure, we'll just have to talk this out with the kid once we arrive at the port harbor.    I mean it is better to already have a plan in mind before hand but since it's the Head Hunter we're talking about we can never really be sure and that plan just seems so reckless. The whole reason we are going there is to cut off Head Hunter's supply of weapons and ammunition so that when we get to his actual hideout we can somewhat manage. We aren't supposed to go to the port harbor and garner more attention.    While I was mulling things over, the kid asked if we could just go to a drive thru. We both used a large amount of our magic and we were definitely way too tired. I agreed since I also had to buy coffee so that I could stay awake.    After we ordered our food at the drive thru the kid proposed to me an idea. Since I would be driving for 2 more days, why don't I take a thirty minute nap every three hours of driving.       I was fine with it but we were definitely vulnerable whenever I have to stop the car and sleep. But the kid was adamant about it. He told me that he would just have his sword ready whenever I would go to sleep.     If the kid only knew how to drive we could have a better split in our schedule but I mean that is still fine. i originally planned to just f*****g toughen it out and continue driving for two whole days.    Now that I think about it, it was also a good way to check if we had any pursuers. Since I'm sure they would try to estimate when we would arrive. If we were to take thirty minute breaks every three hours we could be there in less than a day. I don't know if the math checks out but f**k it we'll just have to assume that.     Now it's just us and the road again!
