Caleb tried to weld two pieces of metal together, but even with the AI and nanomachines basically doing the work, it was proving difficult.   “I think we need an expert,” it sighed. “It appears my intelligence and upgrades aren’t a substitute for years of practise and muscle memory.”   “Great,” Caleb sighed, putting down the mask and welding iron.   “How’s it going?” Jade asked. She looked worried. By now she had figured out that Caleb did not like to fail at anything or ask for help. It made him grumpy, and when he was grumpy, he would take it out on her.   “Do you want to try?” Caleb asked her.   “Oh, no, I think I would do it wrong, or burn myself,” Jade said, shaking her head and backing away.   “What scares you more? Messing up my project or burning yourself?” Caleb asked
