“Why are we in the same room, Marcus. We are still not married and I… I don’t think that … that we need to stay in the same room.” Avery said to me in a calm tone, but I could see how uncomfortable she was right now in Xavier’s presence.
I looked at Xavier and saw him glancing at Avery with a painful expression on his face. My brother loved her so much, but this wasn’t his fault. I signalled Vincent to locked the door as I didn’t want anyone else to listen to our conversation at any cost.
