"Please, don't punish me. spare me! I beg you!" A man in his late Forties kneeled on the floor. His screaming for mercy echod in the space. "I beg you!" He repeated himself again before he crawled to Asher. "I have a family!" The man then holed Asher's legs. "I am sorry, I didn't intend to do that!" he begged. His sobbing getting higher and heigher. "Please show mercy on me. It will never happen again." He promised. "Give me another chance." The man cried hopeless at the end of his sentence. His face became ugly from all the crying and sobbing. Whispers start to spread in the building. People start to look at eachother in confusion. What is going on? Although they didn't get it, they all looked at Asher then the man kneeling before him. Their eyes varied between confusion, pity and hating. Asher didn't need help to know which feeling they felt towards him. Asher chuckled. It came short as if he wanted to keep it for himself. Still, he failed. Asher, who went to complete some work with his other business partners, met unexpected situation. No one wants a scandal like that. Specially with your business partners. Specially, if there were humans. Humans. Asher looked at the man kneeling before him. He was confused. He didn't know what the man was talking about. He didn't met him before. He didn't even know the man! Being an Alpha comes with its benefits. Asher thought as he held his emotions in. prevent them from leaking out. otherwise, he would leash on the man. specially with his current mental health. Right now, Asher didn't want anything more than to rip the man head off. No one wants to piss off a full grown irritated Alpha. But what was important right now is the chaos that man created. By now he already used to that kind of s**t. But not with the humans it was different. It was dangerous. Every were knows to keep their problems away from the humans. No were should cause a damage to the humans. It was forbidden. If that happened, then you will have to deal with the council. Asher hated the council. And now here he is dealing with a human. If he couldn't solve it, it may reach out to the council. Asher couldn't let that happen. He has to end it here and now. He can't tolerate another meeting with them. Asher took a deep breath. He needs to calm himself down right now. "I know that you are confused, but I," Asher didn't have the chance to complete his words. "No, am not confused it is you!" the man shouted. Veins appeard on his neck. Asher's eyes turned black. "HOW DARE YOU PATHETIC HUMAN TO TALK TO ME LIKE THAT!" Asher snapped at the human. His voice held authority. It was low, more like to a whisper. Even in this situation, Asher didn't want to attract unwanted attention. Yet, the humans around him tilted their heads a little to the side. They could feel his aura despite his attempt. Unlike the man in front of him who his head completely tilted, that you could hear it cracks. Asher's aura hit him fully. The man starts to weep. Before Asher could respond. Two guards come and start to take the kneeled man away. The man opened his mouth, his eyes are narrowed and a frown growed on his forehead. Yet, he didn't do anything. As out of nowhere, his features soften and he followed the guards without objection. "I apology about what just happen." a deep male voice made Asher move his eyes. He no longer watching the man. "I don't know how he entered here. But I promise you, who ever did that will be punished." The handsome tall man assured. Although his tone matched his words, Asher didn't find it in himself to believe those words. "And he," Asher gestures with his head to where the man went from. "what will happen to him?" Asher faced the handsome man once again. "of course, he will be sent to the police. They will take care of him." The handsome man explained, his tone matched his professionally. Asher sighed, he put his hand on his face for a moment. then he took it and opened his mouth, "alright. But I want to know his story." Asher kept his tone professional as well. "of course, after the investigation." The tall man assured. "I will take this as a promise." if it wasn't for Asher cold tone, anyone could mistaken those words. "Definitely." The handsome man smiled. His smile could make anyone fell for him. But it only made Asher nauseated. The handsome man looked at the crowd, he asked them to dismiss. Telling them that there aren't nothing to see. Every one start to leave to their destined ways. murmuring as they walked. Asher still didn't move his glare from the man. He always seemed to annoy him. No matter what he did, he just can't accept him. And he has a good reason for that. "Wow man, that was weird." Roan amused. "Yes." Asher said, his eyes still on the handsome man. "I want you," Asher got interrupted. "All done." Roan said. Looking at Asher, "I am just like you, I don't trust him." Roan shrugged. "Every one say that I am overreacted about him." Asher sighed. "Not everyone, your family and I don't like him." Roan informed. His voice is cold. Asher hit Roan in his side, which make him groan. "Man, what was it for?" he asked. Asher who starts to walk stopped and looked behind him to Roan. "don't exclude your self again from my family." He said, then starts to walk again. Roan smiled to himself. Then starts to walk to Asher. "I will put that in my mind." Roan smirked. Asher didn't respond, he only smiled. "Hey, what do you think he called for us here?" Roan wondered. "I don't know." Asher pressed his lips. "I really don't care I just came because don't want more remorse." Asher explained. "And yet! Another one happened as soon as you entered here." Roan chuckled. "At less, he had the dignity to come and solve the problem." He followed. "He didn't have a choice." Asher said. Roan paused for a moment and asked, "You mean the law?" "Yes." Asher answered. The laws, every society needs laws and rulers to survive. And the were aren't exception. After the development of humanity, it became harder to live among them. To keep their secrets and be able to live freely. The were made laws which must be followed. Any were dare to go against them will be punished. One of the most scared laws, don't drag humans to the were business. Asher stops his movement, as he stands in front the office of the man who helped him earlier. 'Damon King. Asher thought. What that bastard wants from him. He was annoyed. The relationship between the two wasn't that good. Since the moment they met as kids. He never liked him. Always fighting together. Every thing normally turned to compassion between them. Asher didn't understand the reason. Till his parents finally decide to tell him. Before Asher could take any action, the office's door was opened. A beautiful young woman welcomed him. "Welcome Mr.Grace. She said smiling. "Alpha king waits for you inside. She guestard to him to go inside. as well as she acknowledges Roan with a nod. After the two went in, she closed the door, still smiling at them. "Welcome my friend. I am sorry about what happened," alpha Damon paused for a moment and looked at Asher with serious in his eyes. "That man would be punished. Don't worry." He assured him. His voice filled with concern. "I know I can depend on you." Asher said as he took his seat. "We trust you, alpha." Roan said as he copped his alpha actions. "it's my pleasure." Replied Damon. "So, why you called?" Asher asked. "You don't waste time, ha?" Damon mocked. "I have a busy schedule, Alpha." Asher said with a stern voice. Alpha Damon looked hurt at Asher attitude. "I know I deserve that. I will take it as my punishment to what happened while we were kids." A far look on his face. "Any way!" alpha damon cheered. "Now let's forget the past! And start again." his white teeth appeared. "I don't mind." Asher said briefly. "that's great!" Damon said while clapping his hands. "Now let me tell you what I plan to do." Damon began. "I am all ears." Asher replied as he leaned back in his seat.
