"As you can see," A man pointed to the smart board behind him. "The numbers say everything."
In the meeting room, A man in his middle twenties stood there. He kept talking about business and how things are going on.
He used both his tone and body language to communicate with the others.
People gathered around the long rectangle table in front of him.
They were different in everything. Their ages, Their skin tones, their haircut, their facial features. Yet, they are shared their way of style. They are wore suits. Everyone wore what suited them the best.
Some looked normal and average appearance. Some looked attractive, yet acceptable. But some looked some how extremely attractive. They could tell you to sell your soul for free and you will do that happily. As long as you can see their smiles.
They all were there for their business. They all had business with their presenter.
They were all partners. They all have the same knowledge about their business and have the same treatment as well.
Or at least that what some of them thought.
Unknown for some of them, their presenter isn't a human at all. And even some of the people who sit at the table, aren't humans as well.
Therefore, they didn't have the same knowledge nor the same treatment.
After all, since when the supernatural races respected humanity?
"That is indeed good news, we trust you." One of the men said. He chuckled, but it didn't come naturally.
The presenter smiled. His smile didn't hold any emotions at all.
For a long time, people sitting at the table discussing their business.
Some agreed with other. While some disagreed with other.
After the meeting has ended, They started to leave. One by one.
Unknown to the humans, their was another meeting. A special one for the inhumans.
"So, what is the plan?" A man who looked much younger than his age asked. He leaned back in his seat. Acting casually.
Another man sitting across from him looked at him in the eyes. His eyes darkest. He didn't approve of what the other said. How he can speak like that with their Alpha?
The other man didn't seem to care. He just ignored him.
The presenter walked to the table's head. He pulled the chair and sat down.
"I know that it's not my place to convince you." He said in a steady and ringing voice.
"But this is our best solution. If the concil intervened, it wouldn't be good for us." His words and tone made the other shiver a little bit.
After all, they won't all react the same.
Some of them didn't want to listen to him. What he think himself is to order other races as well?
To the weres he might be important. But not for them.
Yet, he was right. If things went to the concil, it would be awful for them.
No one want to deal with those old people.
Looking st eachother, they knew that they could work together.
"So, what is the plan?" The same guy repeated himself. This time he straightened himself.
The presnser smirked. He used the remote control to change what is on the smart board.
A lot appeared on it.
Some were numbers, some were data and some were pictures.
The pictures weren't good at all. If someone with a doft heart walked in, would lose consciousness.
That's how horrible they were.
The presenter ran his hand through his silky hair. Which caused to mess up his hair a little bit.
He looked exhausted. A lot happened during those days. As a good and mostly important as a PERFECT Alpha, he had to deal with them all.
For a while, they talked about the solutions they can use. What were the gains and loses.
"I think that's enough for today. Let's continue another time." The presenter said as he gestured with his arms. The meeting was over.
The non weres used the humans manners. While the weres bowed to their prince and soon to be king.
As everyone left the meeting room. The prince leaned back in his chair.
His eyes didn't show a lot of emotions. Nothing but emptiness.
A fade figure appeared on the prince mind.
It was blurry.
Only a sweet smile decorated that fade figure's face.
The prince's lips lifted up.
His eyes darkened.
*****
"Cancel all the remaining meetings and rearrange them to another dates." The prince informed as he exited the meeting room.
The redhead assistant looked up from her spot and looked at him.
"What do I say to them?" She almost ran as she tried to follow her Alpha.
"The usual." The prince's voice didn't held sny emotions. Just a flat tone.
The assistant didn't follow him anymore. She knew better.
She worked for him for long right now. When he became irritated like that, she knew better to not involve at all.
The assistant remained at her spot. She didn't move. Her eyes still on the direction that the prince walked before.
It has been a while, so why he didn't forget about her? after all they didn't spept much time together.
Even if the mates were scared to the weres.
Times change.
Besides, it has been a while. So why he can't let her go. Why he can't forget about her.
The assistant looked down at herself.
The suit showed all of her curves. The tight mini skirt. The shirt that ready for any second to lose one of its buttons.
She could seduce sny man she wanted.
She was beautiful. She was gorgeous.
A lot of were and other races want to have a chance with her.
Yet, the only one she wants doesn't care about her.
She stormed sighing in anger.
*****
The price tried to calm himself down but failed.
He was furious so did his wolf.
He wanted nothing more than to go to run.
But this isn't his territory.
He has to compose himself. And he hated it.
The ride to his mansion was long.
The driver kept shivering from time to time.
The price couldn't hold in all his emotions. Sometimes, his aura became beyond endurance to people around him.
And this time, the driver was the victim.
As he stared from the car's window to the streets, he began to relax.
It was a good weather. Perfect for a picnic.
The fade figure appeared again on his mind.
His lips curved into a smile that's somehow was happy snd sad st the same time.
"Take me to the park." The prince ordered the driver.
It wasn't their original destination, but the driver couldn't ask for explanation. So, he changed the road as his Alpha ordered.
The prince get of the car. He observed the scene in front of him.
A lot of people were out.
Maybe because the weather was good, maybe because it was a holiday. Maybe both.
Some were out with their friends. Some were with their lovers.
It was a lovely scene.
His smile growed.
Not because he did love it.
No.
It was because SHE loved it.
Seeing the people happy was her ultimate happiness.
He smirked as he recalled how he used to mock her about that.
The why she pouted. The way she laughed.
Everything seem far now. He can't imagine it did happen a couple of years ago.
He walked to a bench near a fountain. It was her favourite spot. She used to say that way it feel magical.
He chuckled as he thought more about her.
Since he lost her, he had to deal with a lot of s**t.
Specially, the mate that his parents want him to mate.
At first, he thought the more time pass, the more he will forget her.
He was wrong.
Everyday seem like a battle to him.
To not lose control.
The Prince sighed sadly.
His life empty without his mate.
Are his parents right? they told him as soon as he take a chosen mate, that pain and empty in his heart will no longer be there.
Can a chosen mate make him forget about her?
His wolf growls.
He objected that topic. No chosen mate. Neither their fated mate or stay alone for ever.
The prince shocked his head.
"I am sorry."
The prince lifted his head to be met with a young child.
The boy appear to be six or seven. He had a brown hair and blue eyes.
The prince didn't understand why the kid apologised to him.
Following the kid's eyes, he saw that the kid's ball was behind his legs. It must had hit him earlier.
Because of his absent mind and his superpower. He didn't fell the ball. And of course not to forget that a kid who was hit it.
The prince smiled and bent down to hold it.
Sobbing.
That was the kid reaction after the blas get blown.
The prince felt embarrassed.
He didn't mean that! Sometimes, he forget how powerful he is.
The kid didn't stop.
The prince looked around and it seemed thst the kid is here without his parents. But from the smsll crowd of kids close to them. He assumed that they must be his friends.
He gestured to them to come.
Maybe it was his Alpha aura. Maybe it was something else. But the children listened to him and came.
He talked to them for few minutes. Then he stand up and went to the ice-cream truck. The kids followed him.
He bought them some. Then they went to a near shop and bought them a new ball.
It was a beautiful scene.
A full grown up man surrounded by small kids who followed him through many shops.
Every shop they came of, they always had items from it.
A lot admired that scene.
As the sun started to fade, the kids said goodbye to him and went to their homes.
As the last kid disappear, The prince saw that fade figure again.
He whispered to himself, "Those kids are happy now. Are you happy too?" His voice low and deep. Sadness showing in his tone.
The fade figure seemed a little clear.
A woman with a long hair. She seemed to be a petite.
Her full almost round lips curved into a smile.
"Thank you, Damien." Her sweet angelic voice rang in his ears.
Damien's eyes became foggy.
