1359 Words
Asher leant on the window’s frame. From his bedroom, he could observe many Pack's members go around. Some how that made him calm down. Nothing more than watching his people happy could bring some peace to him. Thinking about them made a small smile appear on his handsome face. But that little happiness didn't last long. He loved them, but that's didn't mean he couldn't envy them. As he gazed at the mated couples. An ach starts to spread from his heart to his entire body. Will he spend his entire life alone? wouldn't he be able to enjoy the happiness of having someone in your life. His mind went to his father. The offer. Should he take it? He doesn't want to be alone. Yet, he didn't want a chosen mate as well. Will he be happy if he accepted that idea. But then what will be the difference between a were and a human. Wasn't on of the benefits of being a were that you won't have to go throw the pain of not knowing if the person in front of you enough or not? Wasn't everywere spending their whole life waiting for the moment when they finally met their other half. Then why they didn't want him? They. Asher closed his eyes. He inhaled deeply; hoping the pain inside his heart would decreased. It didn't. Why? Why him. What did he do to deserve that torture. Since his was born, he always followed the rules. Never to break them. He even didn't let himself enjoy the life like eveyone else. Always putting the pack first. Always caring about his future mate's feeling. Even if he knows that a lot of alphas no longer follow that rules. A lot hated the traditions, seening them as old and need an update. Still, he followed them and didn't complain. So, why he became that miserable? The rumours. When the rumours started to spread, he didn't care. they were just rumours. False ones. That happened a lot to a lot of alphas. And it looks like he isn't an exception. At first, he thought that the rumours wouldn't last long, that they will take their time and fade. They didn't. Then, he thought that everyone won't believe it. They know him better. Or at least that what he thought. Then HE come. And everything started to fall. Asher's jaw tighted at that memory. Why he had to come? Wasn't his current miserable life enough? Did it had to be harder? It looks like no matter what he did, everything fell. more and more. Even with all that drama, he still had a hope. His mate. When he finds his mate, he will be happy. A mate is something important for a were. Specially if they were alphas. The mate could make an alpha rise or fall. That's why it was important for every alpha to have there mate on their side when they rule their pack. That's why when Asher met his first mate, he was enthusiastic. He now could be happy. He could now forgeted the drama around him. He didn't know she was the first. Then she rejected him. When that happened, Asher thought that it was the end. That it will be his fate to be alone and to life in misery for the rest of his life. But then he got his second chance. A second chance was something rare. to have one made him happy. For the fist time since the start of his doom. He really felt that he might be lucky. But it all fell down. She rejected him, again. And before he could fell in his depression more, he got another one. Asher didn't understand what was going on. A third chance? Did someone got a third chance before? But before he got his answer, he was rejected again. Pain. Pain became intense. It became harder for him to pretend that everything was going well. He had a pack to look after. What he will say to them? I'm sorry I couldn't keep your Luna although I had more than one? He couldn't say that. probably his pack would think that he is just joking with them. And when they eill realize that it was the truth, they will pity him. No Alpha wants to be pited by his pack. No pack wants a weak leader. What about his parents? they can't know. They can't know that he failed them. What about the weres under him? They all are looking for him. They all want to meet their future Luna. What he will say to them? No one could ever know. He made an oath. And we wouldn't break it. No one will know except his beta. Roan. Roan was the only one that he could trust. the only one he could relie on. he could tell him everything and be sure that he won't let him down. After all they aren't so different. Asher chuckled as he watched the young pups run after eachother. A young woman dragged her pup as she scolded him. saying something about his homework. the other pups waved at him. the other pup promised them that he will finish his homework quickly and he will join them again. Asher sighed. How could anyone believe that those children aren't human? They were normal, like any child at their ages. His eyes turned to the side. His gaze fixed on the scene in front of him. A young mated couple. they were on the pack's park surrounded by a lot of others weres. The pair holded their almost two years old pup. they were smiling at him. Asher's heart sank. He knew them. They found each other on the same day that Asher found his first mate. If she had accepted him then. they would be probably holding their pup. like the other couple. Asher ran a hand over his face. He chuckled, his voice mixed with sadness and mockery. "Even if she had accepted me then. we still wouldn't be able to have a pup by now." She. After that brief break. Asher's mind went back to the memories of his previous mates. Day after day, it becames harder for him to not breakdown. The first, the second, the third, the forth, the fifth, they all come to his mind. One by one. Asher hugged his head and closed his eyes. The ach was intense. Then the sixth came to his mind. Asher's eyes snapped. Why? Why did she do that to him? He thought that this time it would work. That he finally would rest. When Asher found his sixth mate. He noticed that she didn't want to reject him. He almost lost control. Both the Human and the wolf were enthusiastic about the idea that they finally found someone wanted them. They would do anything. Anything. So when their mate asked them to help her family. They did it. When she asked them to get rid of the rouges roam around her pack. They did. When she asked their help to deal with an enemy pack. They did. When she told them that she won't meet them in public. They accepted that. When she told them that she needed time. They understand that. When she denied knowing them. It hurt them a lot, yet they didn't force her. No matter what she did. They would overlook anything for her. And she knew that. They did everything she wanted. Yet, she rejected them in the end. Asher rubbed his eyes. He couldn't get rid of her image in his mind when she rejected him. His wolf begged him to let him go. He wanted to go to their mate. A mate that no longer their. But the wolf did care. He was losing his mind. Both of them. They wanted a companion. They were scared to be alone. The light started to fade. The darkness took over. The children are no longer in sight. The adults started to increase as well. Finally, it Was quit once again. Asher kept staring. His mind and heart both at lost.
