The Dragon
As the Dragon Lord sat on his throne, memories of his youth flooded his mind. He remembered the days when he was just a young dragon, filled with fire and determination to help those in need. He had always wanted to be a hero, to be the one that people could turn to in times of trouble.
And so, he had set out on his journey, determined to make a difference. He had used his powerful magic to heal the sick and wounded, to calm the anxious and troubled, and to fight against the forces of darkness that threatened to destroy everything he held dear.
But he knew that he had not done it alone. He thought of his family of friends, the brave and noble warriors who had stood by his side through thick and thin. They had been his companions on his journey, sharing in his victories and his defeats, and never once faltering in their resolve to protect the innocent and uphold justice.
He thought of the wise old sage, who had taught him the secrets of magic and helped him understand the mysteries of the universe. The sage had been a source of inspiration and guidance, and the Dragon Lord knew that he would never have been able to achieve what he did without his help.
He thought of the fierce warrior princess, who had fought with him in battle and never once faltered in her resolve. She had been a true friend and companion, and her courage and strength had inspired him to be better, to do more.
And he thought of the loyal squire, who had been with him since the beginning and had always been ready to lend a helping hand. The squire had been a constant source of support and encouragement, and the Dragon Lord knew that he could always count on him.
As he sat there, lost in thought, the Dragon Lord felt a surge of inspiration as he recalled memories from his mortal past. He knew that there was still much to be done, generations of people to help, and a multitude of battles to be fought. But he had less time than was needed.
His mind wandered as he remembered memories of his beloved. The day he had first met the Warrior Princess was a day he could never forget. She stood before him, eyes blazing with a fierce determination, and he couldn't help but be drawn to her wild and untamed spirit.
But before she became the fierce and noble warrior he knew, she was just a simple hunter lost in another world, searching for the elusive crowned Usagi. The Dragon Lord chuckled to himself at the memory of her earnest search for the god-like creatures, despite the fact that they were regarded as mere pests in his own world.
As he watched her struggle to navigate the unfamiliar terrain, he knew he had to approach her. He was determined to convince her to join him on his adventures, to fight against the dark forces that threatened their world.
But it was easier said than done. The Warrior Princess was not easily swayed, and the Dragon Lord found himself struggling to make her swoon with his charms. He tried everything from reciting love poems to showing off his impressive fire-breathing skills, but nothing seemed to work.
Eventually, he realized that the way to her heart was through her stomach. He used his powers to conjure up the most delectable feast he could manage, and the Warrior Princess finally relented. From that moment on, they were inseparable, embarking on countless adventures and battles together.
The Dragon Lord's heart ached as he remembered the day she died, in the heat of an epic battle against the dark forces they had sworn to defeat. She had fought with all her might, until she could fight no more, and in her final moments, she had passed on her beloved bow to him as a memento.
As he sat on his throne, he couldn't help but smile at the memories of the fierce and fiery warrior who had captured his heart. Even in death, she remained a symbol of strength and courage, inspiring him to continue fighting for what he believed in.
The Dragon Lord took a deep breath, the golden scales on his back glinting in the fading light of the sun. He knew that there were still battles to be fought, and he would fight them with the same fierce determination that had drawn him to the Warrior Princess all those years ago.
The Dragon Lord's mind wandered to his trusted advisor, the wise old sage. The middle-aged man had been a constant presence in his life since he was just a young dragon, and he had come to rely on his guidance and wisdom.
The sage was a man of great knowledge and experience, but he was also compassionate and kind. He had always been there to listen to the Dragon Lord's problems and offer advice and support.
One particular memory stood out in his mind. It was during a time when he was struggling to make a difficult decision. The sage had sat with him for hours, patiently discussing the pros and cons of each option and helping him to see things from different perspectives.
Despite his vast knowledge and experience, the sage never let his own opinions cloud his judgment. He always remained just and impartial, resisting the temptation to make decisions based on personal biases or emotions.
Another memory that brought a smile to the Dragon Lord's face was the time when the sage had shown his bravery and commitment. They were on a dangerous mission to retrieve a powerful artifact, and they had encountered numerous obstacles along the way.
At one point, they had been ambushed by a group of dark wizards, and the sage had bravely stood his ground, casting powerful spells to protect them both. Even when it seemed like they were outnumbered and outmatched, the sage had never faltered in his resolve to see the mission through to the end.
But perhaps what the Dragon Lord appreciated most about the sage was his ability to communicate well. He had a way of explaining even the most complex ideas in a way that was easy to understand, and he always took the time to ensure that the Dragon Lord fully grasped the concepts he was teaching.
It was at the time when the Sage had to endure the pain of wilting and rot. The Sage was cursed by an evil sorcerer, and his life force began to ebb away. The Dragon Lord had searched far and wide for a cure, but to no avail. The Sage knew that his time was limited, but he refused to go down without a fight. He continued to offer advice and guidance to the Dragon Lord, even as his strength failed him. The Sage had many realizations during his final days, and he shared them with the Dragon Lord. He spoke of the importance of prudence, temperance, and justice, and how these virtues could guide one through life's challenges. He also shared his belief in the power of knowledge and how it could be used to make a positive impact on the realms.
Before he passed away, the Sage left the Dragon Lord a memento - his old robe. At first, the Dragon Lord was unsure of what to do with it. But then he realized that he could turn it into something special - a golden scale cape that he would wear constantly.
The cape had a powerful effect on the wearer, giving them maximum intelligence and the ability to access knowledge from different realms. But there was a catch - only those who were prudent, temperate, and just could fully harness its power.
The Dragon Lord chuckled to himself as he remembered the first time he wore the cape. He had been so eager to access all of its knowledge that he had almost overloaded his own brain. The Sage had warned him of this, of course, but he had been too stubborn to listen.
But as he wore the cape more often, the Dragon Lord began to appreciate the Sage's wisdom even more. He saw how the virtues of prudence, temperance, and justice could guide him in his decisions, and how the pursuit of knowledge could be used for the greater good.
The Dragon Lord felt a pang of sadness as he thought of the Sage's passing, but he also felt a deep sense of gratitude for the lessons he had imparted. He would always treasure the golden scale cape, and he vowed to use its power wisely, in honor of his beloved advisor.
As the Dragon Lord sat on his throne, lost in thought, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the sage's presence in his life. He knew that through lessons about life he could always find support, guidance, and most importantly, friendship beyond worldly boundaries.
The Dragon Lord fondly recalled the days when he first met his squire, a mischievous boy who used to sneak into the orchards and steal fruits from the Dragon Lord's garden. The Dragon Lord had caught him red-handed and dragged him back home, ready to scold him for his thievery.
But then the Dragon Lord had an idea. He planted a special tree in his garden, one that bore fruits with unique and varied flavors. The fruits were nutritious and could feed a whole village. The squire's eyes widened with wonder as he tasted each flavor, and he was filled with gratitude towards the Dragon Lord's kindness.
From that day on, the squire vowed to serve the Dragon Lord and be by his side in all his battles. He fought with bravery and chivalry, always putting himself in harm's way to protect his lord. He became the Dragon Lord's most trusted companion, and together they went on countless adventures.
However, during one of their journeys to the Rakshasa realm, the Dragon Lord was injured and unable to fight. The squire, always the loyal protector, stood in as the Dragon Lord's shield. He fought off the demon army with all his might, enduring wounds and injuries as he protected his lord.
In the end, the squire fell, but he fell with honor. He was wearing the Dragon Lord's armor, standing tall and defiant even in his final moments. The Dragon Lord wept at the loss of his loyal companion, and he took the squire's armor and turned it into a symbol of remembrance. The armor became known as the Dragon Scale Armor, and it was passed down from one protector to the next. Each wearer was imbued with the courage and bravery of the squire, and they fought with the same level of chivalry and dedication as their predecessor.
As the Dragon Lord remembered his squire, he couldn't help but smile at the memory of their first meeting. He had never thought that a fruit thief would become his most loyal protector, but such was the unpredictable nature of life. And in the end, the squire's sacrifice would never be forgotten, and his legacy would live on through the Dragon Scale Armor.
Today, he must find his heirs. The successor of his beloved would be the captain of the vanguard to fight against waves from the cracks of the firmament. Otherworlders will once again try to invade their realm due to his weakened state. His time was up. It was time for a new generation of heroes to come forth and restore the world to its proper order. The sage's successor must be a genius in both mind and heart, must be just, prudent and temperate in all his thoughts and actions. His task must be to guide the vanguard's captain in making sound decisions. His squire's successor must serve as the shield. A defender that is physically strong , mentally alert and swift to act. This one must be reliable and accountable to be the foundation and the one that binds people together.
It is time to act. The Dragon stood up from his throne, blew a mist that formed an oval gateway. He moved forward and vanished as he stepped into the flowing mist.
