“ARE WE CAUGHT up in a whirlwind, or what?” Mickey said as he drove them to the hospital.
“It does seem that way, doesn’t it?”
“Maybe we’ll land in Oz.”

They found Chris’ family in the hospital chapel and sat with them for a while.
Chris’ grandmother said, “I knew it. I knew she was just holding on till you got here, Chris.”
“That’s what the doctor and one of the nurses told me,” Chris said.
“Did you see her this morning?”
“Yes, Ma’am. I showed her pictures of our house and what will be Teddy’s room. Eventually, she said something about being tired and wanting to sleep, so I left.”
