Chapter 1: Trust Begins
The afternoon sun filtered softly through the leaves of a massive, ancient oak tree, casting dancing shadows over a quiet park. A seven-year-old girl stood near the empty swings, a bright, innocent smile lighting up her face as she looked at the man standing before her. The man looked down at her, his eyes filled with a heavy, pleading warmth and a deep, unshakable worry. “I know I can trust you,” the man said softly, his voice thick with emotion as he reached out, clutching the chains of the swing. “But... I can’t put you in danger.” The little girl didn't flinch. Her smile remained steady, pure, and fiercely loyal against the peaceful backdrop of the playground. “You give me the respect I never got,” she replied, her small voice carrying a weight far beyond her years. “Even knowing no one can touch you is everything I need. I will always protect that trust.” The man looked at her, the tension in his shoulders finally melting away into complete gratitude. Then, the warmth vanished. The armored car lay ruined in the belly of the forest, its hot metal creaking violently against a suffocating silence. Black smoke choked the moonlight. From the twisted wreckage, the seven-year-old girl crawled out onto the damp earth. Her white silk dress, which had been so pristine just hours ago, was now torn to shreds and deeply stained with thick mud. She wept, her tiny fingers clawing at the dirt as she cried out for parents who would never answer. Through the dark, towering trees, another girl appeared. She walked out of the shadows, motionless. She was the same age, the same size, but she didn't offer a helping hand, and she didn't say a word. She simply stood there, staring down at the sobbing survivor with empty, lifeless gray eyes. A heavy, cold thing hung loosely in her small hand. The weeping girl looked up through her tears, locking eyes with the girl standing over her. The silence in the forest stretched, heavy and suffocating. A tiny breath escaped the girl holding the weapon. “Sorry.” BANG. Scene ends
