25th December 2009 He just wanted to forget about it. Yazid had never been to a family Christmas before, and right now? Right now he was regretting having agreed to attend one. Obviously as a kid they hadn’t celebrated it. The worst thing about not being Muslim anymore was that all these people acted like Christmas was the best party ever. Philistines had never seen an Eid party done properly, that was Yazid’s view. Christmas had nothing on a no-holds-barred, all-in-it-together Eid party, just the way Mum used to throw them. But anyway. Yazid had never done Christmas. It had been a horrible affair in the children’s home, like they all remembered that nobody wanted them anymore.
