I went straight to my room with Bella, and took her to bathe with me in the tub; my clothes were splattered with blood , and while rinsing my little one, I remembered what had happened.
The curious thing was that I didn't know where I had gotten the strength to drag that wild girl practically all over the house, especially since she was taller than me. But anyway, I felt relieved after slapping and shooting her.
I wish Henry were here to witness this scene. Thinking of him reminded me of what the doctor wanted to do.
"Don't worry, Bella, I won't let anyone turn off the machines," I said as we exited the bathtub. "Even if I have to kill anyone who tries, one by one, no one touches your father."
