Chapter Six

743 Words
Ace P.O.V “He wants to meet me?” I ask Lenny my fill-in beta, not believing my ears. It is now the day after the vampire incident, and my poor mother had to cancel my birthday ball due to everything going on. “A club. I guess what we heard about vamps is true they must love to party if that is what the king chooses as a meeting place” he replies, causing me to sit there in disbelief. “Well, it certainly will be different from the usual stuffy office we normally take meetings in.” “Yes, it will be your highness. So, who will be going with you? In the open like that, you will need plenty of security. We can not trust the vampires until they give us a reason, too.” Lenny says as I am already deep in thought about which warriors will be accompanying us, I have already been to this club Rose before, so I already know the layout. “Okay then I will need ten warriors. Two by me always and the others scattered around the club you will also be coming. I can have Sam’s father watch over the pack while we are gone. “Okay I will get everything ready. Just make sure you’re all ready to go by half six as the meeting starts at seven.” He says before rushing out the room to prepare for this meeting. Once the door closes, I throw my head back and let out an annoyed breath. Hopefully, I will make some progress with this meeting and a club of all places. They are loud and full of drunk, sweaty people. Yet I am disgusted by the thought. My Lycan seems to be excited about this meeting, which is the only reason I agreed to it. Otherwise, I would have straight-up declined and demanded it be somewhere else. Standing from my chair, I check the clock on the wall that reads one in the afternoon, so I have plenty of time for a run before I must get ready for tonight. Walking through the kitchen, I stop dead in my tracks at the sound of my mother screaming my name. “Yes, mother, what's wrong?” I ask sweetly, making sure to keep my distance as she storms into the room. “You know what is wrong? How dare you eat that cake yesterday before I could light the candles” she yells while throwing her arms around. “Calm down. It was probably just one of the pups you know what they are like.” Even to my own ears, I sound unconvincing, and apparently, my mother thinks so too as her eyes widen and she looks murderous. “How dare you blame one of the pups” she says while throwing one of her slippers at me that only misses by a few inches. god, this woman is crazy. “I’m sorry, Mother, it just looked so delicious. I couldn’t help myself” I quickly say as I rush out the door as she throws her other slipper at me. Finally, a safe distance away I shift into my large silver, Lycan enjoying the wind blowing through my fur as I jump over logs making my way to a lake close to the pack house well we call it that but it’s more like a castle with two hundred bedrooms for high ranking Lycans and all unmated Lycan's the rest of the pack stay in houses around the castle as I have over thousand Lycans in the royal pack and there are smaller packs around the world which the alphas have to report to me. My Lycan pushes through to the front of my mind. “We will be late for the meeting if we don’t go back now” he says and his right I did not realise how long we had been out here standing from my crouched position I shift back into my human form and make my way back to the castle. Once back in my room safely after having to sneak past my mother, I jumped in the shower, my black hair covered in dirt, and the odd dead leaf. Once dry, I throw on an all-black suit, leaving a few buttons at the top undone, stuffing my feet into black shoes I am ready to go. Let us see what this meeting will bring.
