Her glowing violet eyes are the last thing I see before it goes dark. My protective instincts kick in, and I immediately reach out for her with my Lycan, just wanting to keep her close to us and safe. But my arms grab nothing but air, causing me to roar in rage as panic fills me now my mate is nowhere to be seen or heard.
