She moved closer to the living room. She saw a gentle dark-skinned man, dressed in suit, seated on the couch. “Oh dear! Rosa this is Kelvin Clarks Personal Assistant”. Mrs. Kate said softly with a smile. “Hey Rosa, nice to meet you. You can call me Kev, I have heard so much about you and I would like to relate with you as a friend. You are getting married to my boss so ill like to be friends with you because well have a lot to do together on future, so I’m going to be doing a proper introduction… Yeah, I know your mum introduced me as Kelvin, Clarks personal assistant but I want to reintroduce myself as Kev to you” Kelvin said stretching out his hands for a handshake with a wide sheepish smile, he was lost in admiration, the beauty of Rosa was astounding. She was a light skinned lady with a slim face and her eyes were very charming with a curvy body that any man could die for. “Nice to meet you too Kev”. Rosa replied, as she stretched out her hand for a shake, she posed a faint smile and was heading back into her room. “You have a beautiful daughter I must say Mrs. Kate. Well anyway the reason for my visit is no other than the plan for wedding. Clark received your message, so he sent me in his place. He has made an arrangement for a court marriage this weekend and there would be no reception rather just a little family dinner afterwards”. Kelvin said to Mrs. Kate sipping the drink he was served. “Well, thank you for the compliment”. “As regards to the wedding we are ready and I am pleased, thank you”. Mrs. Kate extended her hands and shook Kelvin. “Okay ma’am I’ll take my leave now”. Kelvin said while reaching for the door. “Mum did I hear him say the wedding is by weekend? Isn’t it too early? That’s just two days away”. Rosa said to her mum. “Yeah, you heard right. Get yourself prepared let’s go shopping and get you a gorgeous cloth for the dinner night. And oh you need some grooming too, book a spa session for yourself”. Mrs. Kate was elated that finally she her daughter would be married to Clark. Rosa left for shopping and got all she needed. She hasn’t forgotten the main reason for all the adornments. She was only doing it to make her mum happy. The wedding process unfolded like a meticulously choreographed dance. “Kelvin, I need you to send a vehicle over to Mrs. Kate’s house to bring them here before the lawyer gets here”. Clark said with his usual cold face. “Yes boss”. Kelvin replied. Kelvin gets over to Mrs. Kate’s house to pick them up. “Hello Kev”, said Rosa in a soft calm voice. Kelvin got carried away by the elegant and gorgeous lady before him he kept staring with a wide smile. “Hello Rosa, how are you doing”? Kelvin replied Mrs. Kate interrupted and asked “Are you going to keep staring or take us to the venue for the event”? She said abruptly with a mischievous smile. When they got to the venue, Rosa and her mum were both amazed by the glorious mansion of Clark. They were used to life of luxury before but clearly this one beats their previous lifestyle. The chauffeur opened the door for them and Kelvin led them into the mansion. The servants of Clark carried the luggage of Rosa into the building. Kelvin led them to the office chamber of the mansion where the lawyer and Clark were already seated. “Hello everyone, Hello Mrs. Kate, Hello Rosa. I’m Mr. Kipling”. The lawyer said as he stretched out his hands and shook them. Clark remained seated and uttered no words. The process of the wedding had begun, the lawyer brought out some document and gave the couple to sign right after they made their marriage vows and exchanged rings. Rosa forced smiles and tired to look cheerful, but Clark didn’t care about any options of others he kept a straight face. Rosa read the documents carefully. She paused reading in a particular section with a perplexed look. “Excuse me Sir Kipling; please can you briefly explain this section to me”? Mr. Kipling had a brief look at the paper. “Rosa, signing these papers means that you are agreeing to be a full time housewife and will have a monthly allowance of five million dollars”. He stated. “No more questions Rosa, sign the papers” Clark said in an authoritative tone. He signed he’s own part of the paper and gave the papers to the lawyer. Rosa yet again remembered the reason for the wedding and signed the papers. Already her skepticism about the marriage was certain. “Congratulations you are now Mr. and Mrs. Livingston; I wish you both a happy married life”. Mr. Kipling said smiling. He shook the couple and the occupants of the room applauded them. Clark walked out of the Chambers. “Can we all proceed to the dinner hall”? Kelvin said.
