Chapter 18

1010 Words
Andrew’s point of view 2 Andrew drove alone following behind a black Jeep for quite a long road time. The two cars head towards Morgan’s pack. Trey rides in the back seats of the Jeep, but he couldn’t care less about the unconscious werewolf. After a silent argument with Emma, he ended up driving alone inside the car while she  sat with Morgan in his Jeep. He can’t say he is happy about it. He tightens his grip and keeps it there for moments at the thought. He takes a deep breath from his nose, releasing it through his his mouth slow. His eyes never leave the car, but having his senses all working, Andrew is careful. But he doesn’t care even if he crushes with somebody, he just wants to know what they are doing alone. They reach the gates of the pack. Andrew wouldn’t call them gates. It’s a road with trees around it, the pack is surrounded trees all around. It is big for his thought of pack. They drive closer. Andrew follows Morgan behind a house, parking the car right there after the front car does too. With a inhuman speed he opens the door, closing it too loud. He quickly walks towards the front car with an unpleasant feeling and a cold expressionless face, a little colder than usual. He watches the door opening before he reaches, by itself. He sighs at the sight of her. Andrew wants to place his hand on her waist, but he retreats it when he watches her laughing with someone else. He can’t explain the feeling he got, it wasn’t jealousy. She doesn’t smile to him so real. He put his hands by his side glancing around. Although the day should have become noon, there isn’t anyone around here. But he can here the voices of children close, a human wouldn’t. Although living the last three to four years as a werewolf, Andrew never met another werewolf expect himself. “Andrew, can you help Morgan” “No need” he looks at her to see his name rolling through her tongue. He glances at Morgan to see him opening the back door. He bows inside and then shows with Trey in his arms. Andrew watches him closing the door with his leg unbothered. Like he would help him. He puts his hands inside his pockets, looking up in the sky when he sees her looking at him. They reach the doorstep is closed. Morgan stops between them glancing at both sides, on them. “It’s unlocked” he says after a second looking at the door. “Oh” Andrew goes to turn the handle at the same time as she. Their hands stop midair They glances at each other. Morgan coughs, distracting Andrew, distracting both. Both withdraw hands, back to their sides. “Andrew, can you?” Morgan says looking at door once more, keeping his stare. Andrew nods as he gets his senses back. Even something so small get his heart beat insane. His hand touches the handle with his fingers wrapping around it, he opens the door letting them pass in first. Morgan gets inside with Treys on his arms, following Emma and then himself, “Would you mind closing the door, thank you” closing the door behind him as Morgan said while turning up the stairs. “You are getting really close with him” Andrew says when they are alone in sight “He seems like a nice guy” “You don’t know him that well” “While you do?” She glances at him with a smirk or her rosy lips, his stare falling there without controlling it “No, I don’t” he finally says. He has met many people at his work, both ways, he can judge a person based on what he has seen. Morgan isn’t a bad guy. That kind bothers him he can say. Andrew knows that he isn’t the kindest guy, the best she can get. He will never let her go anyways. He spend many years without her presence, only her thought in his head. He ended up having deeper feelings for her he couldn’t describe. The wolf felt it too, he knows too well. Andrew suddenly remembers small pieces of the night they met, the first meeting. His enemies send assassins to kill him that night. For an escape he stepped inside the forest. Unfortunately he met wolfs there, werewolves he couldn’t escape from. Surprisingly for a human then he survived still standing. He doesn’t remember anything after, only her standing in front of him, kneeling and looking down at him. He didn’t realize he had fallen. “Sorry for the wait” Morgan steps down the stairs with light quick steps. “It’s the Alpha’s house” he says looking around at the walls. “Although the Alpha King hasn’t said much, I investigated it more” he looks at them “I didn’t want to say anything about it there. There are many ears” Morgan glances around the windows “Even here” he motions with his head to follow him. As Emma and Morgan walk ahead of him, he glances at the windows too before following Morgan after. They step inside an office. Morgan basically jumps sitting on a couch while showing them the chairs. His soulmate takes a sit while he breaths a few more silently before sitting opposite her. Morgan bows down and takes from down the couch a box picking it up and putting it to the table that is in front of him “I will show them, after confirming something” ‘He is gonna show either way’ The wolf finally speaks ‘That’s the way it goes’ The wolf chuckles at the meaning. “You took his wolf away” he says looking at Emma. Andrew, himself has questions that he didn’t dare ask. But he truly wants to know too. Emma’s eyes widen “No, I didn’t” “I couldn’t sense his wolf after you touched him, still I don’t.” “I didn’t, that is” she stops “What?” She tightens her lips “If you aren’t gonna show us then we should leave” she goes to get up. Andrew knows she doesn’t mean it.
