Emma’s point of view
Andrew stopped the car outside a building. He walks the car and open her door before the person there did. Emma looks at him, he did that two times today. She ignores the outstretched hand and steps out. Mates is just another word that some take for granted. He then takes his arm out for her. She gives in putting her hand between his arm. They walk inside. “President Young” a young female bows slightly to him, “At you usual table, sir?” He nods at her words “Yes” she moves her hand forward letting them pass in front first. She follows closely. As they reach, he pulls the chair for her. She sits down glancing at the young female. ‘He didn’t need to do that’ Around her there are women’s on long dresses and men’s in suit. She glances slowly at her clothes and at the person that sits in front of her. The waitress gives them the menus to look through, while Andrew excuses her. “What would you like to eat?” She looks between the worded meals. She hasn’t been in a restaurant high as this. Even the words on the menu don’t seem like food. “You can order. Anything expect what includes parmesan.” She absolutely loathes that cheese. “Alright” he says. He waves at the waitress “What can I get you, sir, miss” Emma looks around at the people around her. There are some chatting happily, some standing awkward across each other, and some just talking. “Emma?” She hears him calling out to her. She turns her head towards him. He stares at her expressionless, but his eyes look worried. “Is everything alright” “Yes. Did you order a drink” “Yes, wine.” “Great choice” he just stands there looking at her without saying a word. She has found out that he does that really often. “Is there something on my face?” “No. You just look beautiful” her eyes slightly widen for a split second. “Hm, thank you. Also, don’t call me Emma” she whispers he words knowing very well he can hear her. He smirks at her “But I like it” she sighs after glaring at him “At least not in public.” She just what’s to be sure no one knows her, here or anywhere. Even the name can bring misfortune to her if it got to the wrong ears. “Tell me more about you” she questions him. He leans closer. “What would you like to learn?” “About that night, those guys after you. Is there something I must know? They seemed to especially target you.” He looks colder than before “Competitors wanting me dead.” He leans back as the waitress comes with the food. Emma looks at the seafood in front of her, or most likely the shrimps. She rethinks back, she should had told him she isn’t fond of seafood either. She has only taken a liking to shrimp at fourteen. She doesn’t say a word. “Enjoy you food” the waitress leaves then. He leans back again to her while putting some shrimps to her plate, “Just that?” “Just that. I have a lot of enemies” he puts some food on his plate too. “But I can protect you well from them or anyone.” He says hurriedly after. Emma nods taking a sip of the wine that was brought with the food. Don’t usually drinks come before? “How old are you?” She furrows her eyebrows asking “Twenty-four” ‘oh’ “You are indeed older than I am” “What about you?” “It is not appropriate asking a lady’s age, but I am seventeen” “You don’t age, do you?” “Oh, I do, but I go with another time’s passing than this one. I age really slowly” he then drops it and they both focus on the food. The whole meal goes without talking but with glancing. They walk out of the restaurant after they are down paying too. They get into the car. “Can we go into a park. I know one around here, I hope it’s still there” Emma says at him. “Okay” they drive into the park she mentioned. They walk side by side after parking the car. The night has fallen until the city, there are few people still at the park, mostly teenagers. She breaths deeply and she let go. She looks up to the stars while walking beside him. “My dad met my mom here. Just two college students making trouble as he said. After a year they got married and got me. Mom died that day. I never met her, so I supposed I’m not that sad like I am with dad.” She doesn’t know why she opens up in a guy she met two days ago at least. She just truly wants to believe in this, but she knows it isn’t real “What happen?” Her expression turns colder than ice “I killed him” she stops with her head upwards glancing at the stars. He stops too looking at her in shock “Don’t blame yourself” “No the way you think. I, I stabbed him with a kitchen knife.” “What did he do?” He asks coldly. She scoffs “He was in the wrong side.” She looks at the walk ahead of her. “I’m that cold. “ she turns to look at him, “Would you still stay with me?“ “For as long as I breath or not, I will stay by you” “You better stay alive, I don’t want a ghost around me, still” he laughs and puts his arm around her shoulders. So far she feels like she is the only one that’s has opened up. She should ask him more tomorrow. “This was a nice date” she laughs softly “It wasn’t a date” Emma says. They walk back, towards the car. They get inside, “Where else?” “Let’s just go home, I’m tired” she just wants to sleep. Emma hears laughing and turn her head to him. “What’s so funny?” “You called it home” his eyes full of softens and his face with a smile.
