Ulic POV.
My incorporeal body raced through the streets of it's own accord. I let it take me wherever it wanted. All I knew was that I was going towards the spirit world. I noticed how beautiful the world was. It's something I made. I partook in the creation of these civilization even if nobody would remember me for that.
Yh Ulic would only be remembered as a monster that was super strong and scary and terrorized the powerless humans.
If only my plans had worked out. The world would have been more beautiful.
Oh well too late to regret. As I and my incorporeal body enjoyed the fresh air and the scenery, I felt a tug on my essence, like... I WAS BEING TAILED.
I became a bit horrified. I can't let them take me back to that tomb. I won't go back there. I began trying to make a conscious effort to take control of my body. If only I knew the gate to the spirit world. After a long and near futile attempt at trying to take control, I... couldn't. "Well seems I just have to sit back and enjoy the soul...show" I slipped on my own words.
Anyways I had a headstart, but this location seemed still distant, I became scared all of a sudden. I didn't want them to catch me. Of course, but maybe that wasn't it.
No that wasn't it.
Someone was making a mistake. Someone had made the. release me and now... Oh crap... Baivan isn't something you'd release.
Emily POV.
Going down into the tomb wasn't too hard, we just needed someone or something to hold the gate open. We used the hole in the space fabric that Ulic had ripped through to go into the tunnel. I locked on the target and we began moving in groups within our coalesced team. I stuck to my group and the other strikers stuck to their group. There were a few chatters here and there, but it died as soon as it came up. We weren't total strangers to each other.
People in this generation with powers were few and treated like fragile golden eggs. I began wondering how fragile and gold fit in together, it was somewhat an irony... Or I was just overthinking because I was nervous. What was the business between gold and eggs. How could an egg be golden...
"Get your thoughts together" I scolded myself.
" Is it just me or did we lose track of our target. We had been walking for a while now we had been pretty much turning in circles, but what was bad was that we had lost the aura of our target. Then I heard one of the commanders saying. " We should split in groups. You know there's only one exit. If we split we would cover more ground. The target doesn't even have a strong aura. Whether hidden or not I detect a weak essence signature. We should be able to handle him. If we fall into any sort of problems, we could always contact each other". Everyone hesitated, but given the situation, it was the right thing to do. We eventually splitted up, covering every route possible. If our target would have to come out, it would have to be through the front door. Unless he had a way to jump through space
Losa POV.
I woke up suddenly with a jolt. I felt a throbbing numbness envelope my body.
I couldn't feel my body. Then from the corner of my eyes I saw a man. A young man. A young man?!
My brain screamed danger, but my body couldn't move. I felt tears tug at the side of my eyes. I didn't want to die. The man was aware I was watching him. His green eyes and black-white hair more like Ryo's hair. He wore a kind of mask that covered his nose down and then suddenly he turned around. I began to feel my body. Just as he had come, he had gone.
(The next day)
I came down early for breakfast after brushing and having a quick bath.
I could swear I had seen that face in a textbook. The first Alvarõs.
Chills ran down my spine.
Did I see his ghost last night?
So many questions ran through my head as I helped my mom set the breakfast table. Beginning to think of it, my parents actually look like the first Alvarõs couple.
Just that they look older.
I smiled. Damn. My parents were ageing.
After a while I saw Ryo come down the steps. His steps seemed dull, like he had pulled an all nighter.
Nah... he prolly does it every time.
We had breakfast and we got dressed and left for school. I noticed Ryo sleep through our the drive. I had never seen him this tired.
Well. The week ran through like a flash and the weekend came. I was preparing to go out with Wood today. I couldn't help but feel quite good at the prospect. I realized I wasn't doing this for l**t, love or to spite Sara. I was doing it for fun. Besides I didn't have any friends in this neighborhood. Hell, I never seemed to see anyone at all. It was tiring taking permission everytime we needed to leave the house. I knew that we were being watched and followed-that's I and my brother-any time we left the house. I also knew it wasn't my parents, but the people my parents answered to who did it. I had never seen their faces, or knew how they looked or sounded, but I knew they were the ones who gave us luxury. We were even made to answer their own name. Like all that was necessary.
It's not as if my parents didn't have a job.
It was dangerous, but it was ok. They were good in their field, so they never had a problem.
That's why we moved here in the first place. They have business here.
Coming to think of it, they were hardly at home these days. It was mostly I and my brother that slept in the house. And my brother had begun to give me space. It wasn't like this before.
I put on a sunflower coloured dress just above the knee. Then I wore a brown jacket. I put light makeup consisting of Red lipstick. I put my black hair into a ponytail, so no hair would get in my face.
I had developed this hairstyle when I was younger because of the gymnastic activities I was involved in.
For my feet. I had a brown Snickers.
I twirled in front of my mirror. "I'll need my brother's opinion". I thought. I opened my door and my brother was in front of it about to knock.
" Oh. I was just coming to your room"
I said.
I led him into my room and he sat on my bed.
" You look gorgeous. Are you going out?".
" Yup, I have a food date with a classmate".
"Oh really. I was thinking of asking you out. but you're already planned for the day, so I'll see you later". He said while getting up. " You wanted to ask me for something?" He asked his eyes probing into mine
" Nevermind. I already got the answer anyways". I said waving him of. "catch you later".
When he was out I picked up a brown leather cross bag and was about to leave. "OH yh. My perfume..." Opening the cupboard I brought out a green coloured bottle with a spray cap.
It has a scent of grape and alcohol. I had never used it before now. I applied it to my clothes and body and skipped gleefully out of the house.
