Chapter four: Mystery 2

Wood: Today my seatmate wasn't giving me the attention that she usually gave me and I was surprised, she seemed really focused. The assembly was about to begin when I heard the sound of gasps. I turned and was startled. My friend turned to me, "if you wanna be gay, now is the time". I just smiled in return, but I felt jealous, especially the way all the girls were cooing except my seatmate of course. What was up with her, I was beginning to feel concerned. The new guys seat was at the far end of the class, with one of the best girls in the class seating there. He was cute, beautiful and handsome, but something was wrong. He was just standing with the door open staring at the window till the teach tapped him. It was as if she tapped him back to reality. It was like he realized himself, he turned to the class and introduced himself as Ryo Ros. The teacher looked at the ID card and looked at him, smiled and gave him the card after telling him it's use. Damn, even his voice was sexy. I shouldn't be admiring a guy. I could see everyone whispering under their breath, I know he did too, but he wasn't concerned. The first class went by and so did the remainder. Till it was time to go and so as the final bell rang, my seatmate was about to stand up, but I held her hand. She was about to get angry, but her gaze was elsewhere... I see what happened. It's the new guy. I turned around and I saw him talking with some other person. My seatmate glared hardly at me. My grip on her fell weak. "Losa..." Her stare softened. The boy has walked out the class by now. "I'm sorry about gripping you so hard". I looked away. Then I heard her sweet and melodious voice. "Don't do it again". Losa: "You seem worked up today. Super serious". I looked at the boy speaking to me. His gaze was averted. I think that glare was too hard. I must have hurt his pride. This week and the last I had learnt alot about Wood. I could grace him my friendship, but I'll never let him get sexually intimate with me. "sorry for the way I reacted. I told him truthfully. I just have something I need to understand. And I had gotten myself worked up" I explained. His face was still averted. I wasted no time in holding his chin and turning his face. He was looking straight at me. I was looking deep into his eyes. "You don't have to worry about me. How about I take you out to the town library this weekend, and you treat me to a nice dinner so we get even". * * * When we got home, my brother dashed into his room and after a while there was someone at the door. I just came out of the shower when I head the bell ring. My brother dashed downstairs and took whatever and went back upstairs. I shrugged and closed my room door. After an hour or so, I saw him go out and tell mum he was going to a bookstore. After a while he left the house. I decided to peek around his room. His door was locked with no key in the lock. I peered through the keyhole and I unlocked the door. I looked around his room, it was normal. Nothing out of place. His window was closed and the curtains were apart and there were cobwebs on the window. I was shocked somehow. There were cobwebs on all of them. I was shocked not because it hadn't been opened before, but because my brother tolerated no cobwebs in his room. What was happening was a total concern. I decided to check his bathroom. The window was also closed but without cobwebs. I was about to check for something when I heard a sound from his bath area. I immediately raced out of his room and hurriedly locked his door. Slumping in front of his room door. I was so scared he might catch me. The last time he caught me snooping his room, it wasn't funny. Only remembering it gives me chills. "Damn my brother..." Then I realized. My brother isn't at home! Then who was it in his room or what. I decided not to go snooping around anymore. I didn't want to see anything scary just yet. Or maybe anything I didn't expect. Dirty thoughts pooled about in my head. I shook my head. "Let me go ahead and get a book" . . . Ryo pov: I got into the store, old and dingy. The floorboard was worn out. Then I saw a curtain. Passing through it brought me to a well decorated and decent book store. If I'd learned something, it was looks could be deceiving. Chuckling to myself I went deeper into the store. I kept looking about. it was as though the deeper I went the darker and grander I became. A sourceless dim light shone into the store illuminating the books. I got around fine. I went deeper until I met a wall. Looking around the end wall I saw one bookshelf... . Surrounding it was a huge _ huge _ portrait that seemed to encompass the shelf. I knew what I was looking for so I looked at the wall and walked up to it. Knocking it to hear a sound, something hollow. I ran my hands along the wall and the books. Where could it be. My eyes caught something. It seemed as though a light has shone on the adjacent wall. That side wasn't as grand as the side I was checking but it was something else. ' something else '. Yes. Hurrying over to the other side, I checked the books recalling the words of the man, my new roommate. A spirit, or, I don't even know what he is. I chuckled to myself. Still scanning the books. 'click' ... _ _ _
