Emma used to stay with her mother and brother in a three-story house next to Peter's house. Her house was big and luxurious.
Even though the house was inherited from her wealthy grandparents, her family's status seemed to be incomparable to Peter's status.
To everyone's surprise, Emma fell in love with Peter. She was one of the few people who cared about him.
Fortunately, her mother wasn't a snob. She allowed Emma to marry Peter since it was the former's choice.
When Peter heard Kyle's mockery, he couldn't help pulling a long face. Kyle was calling him a servant.
"I'm a servant? Alright. What are you then? You're already 24, but you still live with your parents, that's not a big deal though but you rely on your parents for everything including money to purchase your own underwear. It seemed like you're a slave not a servant like me"
Peter initially didn't want to bicker with Kyle but it just happened that he failed to hold his tongue and ended up spitting such harsh words
.
The evil grin on Kyle's face vanished in a second. It was replaced with a gloomy expression.
"You calling a slave? You don't even qualify to lick my shoes. You, a good-for-nothing, you don't look different from s**t!?"
Kyle cursed loudly in anger.
Peter sighed as he withdrew his gaze from Kyle and continued tilling. He didn't utter any word anymore. He rarely talked, much less arguing.
He mocked Kyle only because the latter induced him.
Seeing Peter not responding, Kyle puffed his chest smugly the reason being; he felt that he had won the argument.
"In the future when you're talking to me please remember to watch your tone."
Kyle spat on the green yard soon after saying these words.
Then he left.
Peter was hurt by his words but he still contained his anger and ignored him.
'One day he'll realize that he is wrong.'
Peter thought as he fixed his gaze on the ground but his mind wasn't there. It was in the future. He believed one day he would make it.
Actually, he was a forex trader. Due to his little equity, he could only make a little profit. He used much of his earnings on basic needs and the remaining on increasing his equity.
With that process, he was confident that one day he would have gigantic equity, e.g $100,000, $1 million equity. And then his profits would also skyrocket.
He then raised his face and gandered at Kyle's figure at a distance. He shook his head and continued tilling.
All of the sudden, a light flashed across his face causing him to stop what he was doing and focus on the source of the light.
Several blue rays of light shot through a narrow opening on the ground, very close to where he was currently forking in.
He instinctively moved his hand away from the area.
The rays of light disappeared and then shot again in the next second. They shot and disappeared repeatedly and didn't stop.
The ground around the area began heaving up and down due to the impact of the rays of light. When the rays shot, the ground heaved up and when the rays fade, the ground heaved down.
The ground acted very similarly to a human chest. In other words, the ground acted as if it had a heart.
Peter anticipated that there was something deeper in the soil, beneath the ground which was the source of the rays of light. And that it also caused the heaving up and down of the ground.
Peter realized that the light intensity of the rays was increasing. It seems like something was moving from deeper in the soil to the ground surface.
'It is a living thing?'
That thought made Peter tremble.
He waited for it to reach the ground surface. He initially planned to dig it up but after knowing the possibility that the source might be a living thing, he no longer goes with that plan.
He watched as the ground began to c***k. The light intensity also increased.
After some minutes a shiny rock-like thing appeared between the cracks in the soil.
He fearlessly reached out his hand and pulled it out. Holding it in his hand, it heaved up and down like a heart of a living thing.
He was surprised by its appearance and weight.
He wasn't too fearless, he immediately threw it away thinking it was indeed a living thing. Maybe something harmful. Some that could bite, corrode or poison him.
He watched in awe as it continued heaving up and down. The blue light rays emitted and then disappeared alternately.
Seeing that nothing more was happening, he hastily took it. He scrutinized it and confirmed that it wasn't a living thing but a mysterious mineral ore.
It was much smaller than an adult human fist, precisely, 4 times smaller.
It looked very similar to natural irregular rocks but its color was blue.
'Heart ore'
He named it 'heart ore'
A thought popped into his mind.
'I should show this to Emma'
Thinking so, he stood up and dashed into his house.
