"Emma!"
"Emma! I have found something'
"Emma!"
"Yes!"
A beautiful young woman with dark hair stepped down the staircases. Her hair was cut short that it didn't even touch her shoulders. It only reached her chin.
She had an attractive and delicate face. Her pupils were pitch black just like her hair.
She seemed to be a quiet woman just like Peter, her husband. That's a bit rare. A talkative person marries a quiet person. That's only an opinion though.
As far as her age is concerned, she was around 22 years old. Two years older than Peter. Do you have a problem with this?
"What is it, hubby?"
She asked in a gentle voice as she sluggishly walked toward Peter. The woman was pregnant.
"I found something"
Peter replied in a soft tone as he stared at Emma with a tender gaze.
"Something? Its name is something?"
She asked jokingly causing Peter to chuckle for a while as he walked toward her.
"I'll tell you. Get seated first."
Peter said with a smile while holding Emma's hand.
He led her to an exquisite and comfortable couch.
Before she sat she stopped and gazed deeply into Peter's eyes.
"Are you afraid that I may fall and hurt your child?"
She asked in a gentle and charming tone.
'Oh my god! This woman is extremely beautiful. No wonder why Kyle and many other young men hate me. They just have to be envious.'
Thought Peter not believing that the woman was his wife.
"Not only the child but also you. I don't want you to get even scratched."
Peter said nonchalantly with a smile on his face.
His smile made him look even more handsome.
Emma found the boy extremely handsome. He had fair skin and a baby face. Seeing, his enchanting smile she felt calmness and peace that she leaned on him.
He wrapped his one around her shoulders letting her lay on his chest. They calmly sat on the couch.
He stretched his free hand and extended his palm, revealing the heart ore. As usual, the ore emitted blue light and disappeared only to appear again in the next second.
Emma had a drastic change of expression. She was surprised by the ore's appearance and its nature.
"What is it?"
She asked with raised brows.
"I don't know. I've found it in the garden."
He replied calmly whilst handing over the ore to Emma. Letting her have a closer look.
Emma received and scrutinized it.
"Oh wow. It is very beautiful and interesting. It looked like a heart."
Hearing her words, Peter nodded in agreement.
"Its price at the jewel market can be high. Emma we're going to make it"
Peter said with a great sense of joy and pride.
He believed that the ore was much more precious than gold. Gold was priced at $20,000 per pound. Judging from the weight of the ore when he carried it, it might be close to 3 pounds. In that case, the ore could probably cost more than $50,000, even $100,000.
Investigating $100,000 into his business, precisely, forex trading, it would bring him much better profits than before. Moreover, it could not take too long before his equity skyrocketed to $1,000,000.
In fact, he currently had around $10,000 equity and made $100 daily and around $2000 monthly. $2000 monthly profit was 20% of his equity.
With $100,000 equity, he could make around $1,000 daily and $20,000 monthly.
'20,000 dollars!!!???'
In that short period of time, Peter had already made those calculations.
$20,000 monthly profit was not a small amount. It could change their destiny forever.
However, he observed from Emma's expression that she disapproved of his plans.
Indeed her next words approved his observation.
"You want to sell it?"
She asked in doubt.
"Of course, we have to sell. We can't just keep it as a toy or what. This can be considered our luck. We won't be bottom feeders anymore."
Peter was vehemently saying these words.
"Hubby, I don't know why but I have this feeling that something bad will happen to you because of this ore."
When she was saying she looked extremely worried.
Peter was shocked by both her expression and words.
"A premonition?"
He asked.
Emma nodded and said.
"I think you should throw it away"
The moment Peter heard this, his heart skipped a beat. He had uneasy look on his face.
Discarding the ore which could bring them more than $50,000 sounded absurd and weird to him.
The ore was what would help them rise. He didn't understand why Emma was restraining him from selling it.
To him, her reason was somehow unsatisfying. A mere premonition?
"Hubby, let's consider our child. She will need high-quality education, happy life, luxury items, and many more. In our current situation, we can't provide her with all those things. But this is our chance."
His tone was slightly sorrowful.
Both he and Emma attached much importance to their unborn child. Thus, after saying this, Emma ruminated for a while before saying.
"I understand. But is not the right way because it can cause you great trouble. Please don't do this. Take it as I beg you"
Hearing her insistence, Peter knew she wasn't going to allow him. He pondered for a while then nodded in agreement.
"Alright, I won't do so. I'll throw it away"
He agreed but it was clearly written on his face that he didn't say so, wholeheartedly.
"Hubby, please don't lie to me."
Emma pleaded after she noticed his expression and sensed the lie in his voice.
On the other hand, Peter knew he had to make her believe him.
"Yeah, I won't lie to you. Go and relax hubby."
He urged her to go back upstairs. She accepted and climbed up the stairs.
"I'll discard it immediately!"
Yelled Peter with a raised head.
He then walked out of the house. He turned around and wandered his eyes into the house carefully to see if Emma was not seeing him.
Satisfied by the results he sighed and scurried across his pitch-green yard.
