THE MISTRESS ?

**Sleepless night**

Selena's pov

I jolt out of my thoughts as I remember that I need to confirm that Chris has gotten home. I pick up my phone and text him.

"Heyy"

" I just wanted to check up on you to confirm that you arrived home safely."

"Yeah,I already got back home. Thanks" he replies.

"Why is his reply kind of short?" I wonder to myself. Well,I guess he could be tired.

I text him again to let him know that I am definitely interested in having another date with him.

His reply throws me off balance. What does he mean by he doesn't have time for such? Wait! was I too forward when I went to kiss him? Damn it! I am such an i***t. He could have been really uncomfortable and would probably see me as a creep now.

I quickly start texting back.

"Oh my God! I am so sorry. I am just realizing the kind of uncomfortable situation I must have put you in. I didn't mean to come on to you or anything like that. I have never done that kind of thing before and I do realize how improper it is. I am so sorry once again" and press the send button.

I hold my phone anxiously waiting for his reply before I realize that he also asked for a kiss. Obviously,that means he enjoyed the kiss. So what did i do wrong?

Minutes passed and soon turned into hours before I realized I was not going to get a reply. He has not yet read the message,so I guess he could have fallen asleep or could be busy doing something.

I walk to my bedroom and lay on the bed. I thought I would be able to sleep well earlier today because of the exciting things that happened. But,I guess I would have a sleepless night.

I wake up the next day feeling horrible. My whole head was pounding and I wasn't feeling okay. I enter my bathroom and see myself in the mirror. I had eye bags underneath my eye. I guess it was due to the lack of proper sleep. I sigh as I pour water on my face before proceeding to brush my teeth.

When I was done,I undressed and got into the shower. I washed my whole body thoroughly as my mind went to him.

"Dear God! it is way too early for me to start thinking of him" I mutter to myself.

I rub my whole body thoroughly with my soap filled sponge. Afterwards,I cleanse off my whole body with water. I pick my towel and rub my body with it. Afterwards,I tie it round my body and walk out of the bathroom.

I walk to my wardrobe,open it and look for a formal suit. I have a business meeting with some foreign investors today,so I have to dress formally.

I wear the suit and a matching pair of heels. I brush my hair,wear my earrings and I am set to go. I pick up my handbag,start walking to the door Before I stop abruptly to stare at myself in my bedside mirror.

"Damn! I look gorgeous." I say to myself before walking out the door.
