A WORKING THEORYAngelo led her inside a crowded cafe, his eyes peeled for anyone who appeared suspicious and lurking. He wondered if Jamie’s stalker was in the area, but she hadn’t been alone, so he had probably left. Convincing Jamie that this stalker could be dangerous was his job as a professional detective who was looking out for his community. He was doing his job, nothing more.
After ordering coffees, Angelo watched Jamie with interest as she assumed a regal pose and narrowed her eyes. “Have you had any more scares?”
