Winter
I am so excited! I’m waiting in the hallway by the front door with Mom. She looks stunning in her cream dress and matching waist-length jacket. Everyone is all dressed up, and I couldn’t be more proud of my family if I tried. Although, I’m concerned that my father hasn’t arrived yet. He’s supposed to be here to walk me to the ceremony!
‘Mommy, where is he? He’s not answering my calls. We’re going to be late!’
Mom chuckles while taking my shoulders in her hands. “Winter, your dad will be here any second. I know you’re nervous and anxious, but he will not let you down.”
I nod my head just as Dad comes jogging over. ‘Daddy! Where have you been?”
