LUNA GRAY'S POV My eyes opened up slowly, the dimmed light blooming through the dense foliage above my head. I blinked slowly, trying to shake off the little sleep I had left, my body aching from the previous day's situation. As I pushed myself upwards, I looked around, confusion settling in me. This wasn’t the cave I found in the forest the night before. Where am i? My senses were on high alert as I tried to put together what happened and how I got here. The last thing I remembered was my eyes closing with force, tired and overwhelmed by the mysterious symbols. Now, I have found myself in a small, weird den surrounded by not so familiar scents. Before I could think any further, a rustling noise caught my attention distracting me from my thoughts. I turned as fast as I could, as my muscles became tense. From the dark part of the den came Ethan, the beta I had saved alongside the other pack members. His eyes were fixed on me but kind as he slowly walked towards me.“Where am I?” I asked him, with my voice still trembling.Ethan gave me a wide smile. “You’re safe. You kind of passed out when you helped us fight off those rogues and brought you to our territory. I’m Ethan, nice to meet you, and these are some of my packmates.”Behind him, three other wolves emerged, stepping forward, nodding their heads in acknowledgement. My mind raced, trying to understand the situation I was in. I was in an unfamiliar territory with an unfamiliar scent, surrounded by wolves I didn't know, yet they were showing me kindness I hadn't seen in a long time.Ethan gestured for me to follow him. “Come, we’re heading to the town hall. We’re holding a feast in your honor as a thank you saving us from the rogues.” We approached a room filled with his pack members,as they all jubilated in songs that I haven't heard before,” she awake everyone,” Ethan said, and everyone looked at me glaring into my eyes,my instincts snapped perceiving a strong intent to kill. “What is your name my dear,” an elder wolf asked. “Luna,my name is Luna,” I said with my eyes swaying quickly to the floor. The wolf members all rushed towards me swinging me in the air shouting “all hail Luna, all hail Luna, all hail Luna,” I looked at all of them in disbelief as I felt my body looking for my injury but it had healed,I smiled vigorously matching the vibe of the room. The feast settled down with everyone one eating and minding their business, “so where do you come from,it's strange to just see someone help another pack in the woods, don't you think so Jenna?,” Ethan said looking at me before facing Jenna, the alpha of their pack. “Yeah, where do you come from or where were you headed?,” Jenna asked. “Well,I'm a traveller just wanted to ermm…..,” I said whilst thinking of an excuse to give to them. “Come on Jenna don't be Intrusive,it's her personal life,” Ethan said, taking me out of the situation. “Yeah, sorry about that but was it west, north, east, or south you were headed?,” “East I guess,” I said, and she nodded. ‘Don’t you think she's becoming a little bit suspicious of you, she's asking too much questions now,’ My wolf said, and I hummed. The feast came to an end with everyone drunk laying on the table and floor as they all snored loudly. I stood up sniffing around the room trying to find the den, where I was laying down. “It's late,I thought you'd be drunk and fallen asleep like the rest of them,” Ethan said with a slight giggle on his face. “No,I don't really take alcohol that much, but I did enjoy the meal, thank you very much” I said, bowing my head as I tried to hide my alpha aura. “No,no,no don't do that,I'm not the boss around here, let me escort you to your room then….,” “Where do you think you are going to?,” Jenna said interrupting Ethan. “Isn't it obvious,I'm taking her to her room,” Ethan responded swiftly. “No way she has to leave, she's not trust worthy,” Jenna said looking at me with disgust in her eyes. “Why would you say that, she literally saved us of not we'd have been dead by now,” Ethan said defending me,as I gave a slight smile acknowledging it. “Remember when I asked her where she was headed and she said East, between me and you Ethan going towards east leads to where?,” Jenna asked Ethan, Ethan eyes widened glaring at me in shock. “The badlands,” Ethan said using is his hand to cover his mouth giving out a mumbling sound. "For the moon goddess sake no one goes to the badlands except they are among......," Jenna said clenching her fist as her eyes bloomed with hate. “What's the badlands?,” I said interrupting her as chills went down my spine. “It's where all the rogues live you liar,” Jenna said leaping towards me in a quick haste. ‘what are you going to do now Luna, you can't let them disrespect you like this you're an alpha for crying out loud, release me let me show them what I'm made of,’ my wolf said to me. ‘No if I show them who I truly am I might be killed since,it's rare to see an alpha visit other packs like this without an alliance it'd just raise her suspicion,I’ said to my wolf. ‘so what are you going to do now?,’ my wolf snarled and I snarled back ‘i’ll just have to take one for us,’ I said, and my wolf snarled at me. “I hope you don't get to regret your decision,” my wolf said.
