CHAPTER EIGHT Alexa was third inside the safehouse. First was a Kevlar-clad man-mountain from the Phoenix P.D. Next came Stuart, toting an assault rifle he had managed not to give back to the SWAT team. Alexa was next, followed by another officer and Rebstock. A trio of officers covered the other sides of the house. The place was pretty big. Alexa worried Pérez would hole up in one of the back rooms and shoot it out. They passed through a short front hall.
