Maximilien had just come home from work. It wasn't a particularly good day for him. He had been in a very long meeting which yielded a very poor outcome.
He had been preparing to close this deal for the past three months. He had spent countless hours drafting designs and preparing PowerPoint presentations. He even hired an expert from France to help out, and what did he get for all this ? A mere ,
'Execellent Mr. Michaelson. I'll think about it. '
Think about it? What was there to think about? This was an open and shut case. He shows you the designs, you ask your questions, and you give him the contract, then he delivers. He constructs whatever it is you want to perfection and he gets his money. What more was there to think of?
He was disappointed. Not in himself or his team, but in his potential client who thought he was playing hard to get by giving him a mere
'I'll think about it' response.
He stared at his reflection in the mirror. For a while, he seemed to be calmed by his own appearance. He wasn't bad looking, he knew that. He was perfect. Lots of women had told him that even Flora herself had called him the embodiment of perfection many times.
"So why did she leave?"
He asked himself out loud and smiled. He remembered the day she broke up with him and returned the engagement ring.
"You're perfect Max, too perfect. I just can't . It's a lot for me to handle."
She had said.
"How is being perfect a bad thing Flora? You told me many times that you loved that about me."
"I know , I know, but I can't keep lying to myself anymore. I need to try something new. I hope you can understand."
He said nothing. He watched her drop the ring on the bed they once shared. She even dared to give him a goodbye kiss. And he watched her walk away. He couldn't go after her. The pain he felt kept him from moving.
"Are you okay Max?"
A soft voice called from behind him. Then slender hands snaked across his back until he moved away.
"I'm fine. "
He had been lost in his thoughts that he didn't hear her come in.
"I need to take a shower, go to your room."
He commanded. The young lady was a bit disappointed. He had never turned her away so coldly without even sparing a glance at her. But she knew better than to defy him.
Even though Maximilien was what you'd describe as every girl's dream man, he could be quite rough and unpredictable if he lost his cool.
She obeyed him. Nevertheless, she knew what was good for her. Once she got to her room, she started packing. She had already breached the contract, and she needed to leave before he kicked her out himself.
"Oh, why did I get myself into this?"
She remembered when she first met him. It was at a restaurant, her date had run out on her with the 'I had to use the bathroom escape' and she was stuck with the bill. She had the money to pay for it, of course, but she hated herself for allowing another man to swindle her for free food. She was just desperate to find a lover, and she overlooked many signs and went on a date with just anyone.
She angrily paid the bill and was about to leave. She bumped into Maximilien. Their little collision caused him to spill his wine over both of them. It was terrible for her, however, as the wine dampened her dress and started to reveal sensitive stuff on her chest.
Maximilien took off his suit and covered her chest while he guided her out of the restaurant.
"I'm so sorry, I'm really clumsy at times."
She said, when they were finally out of the restaurant.
"Don't worry, where are you staying? I'll take you home."
"No, don't worry about it. I can't trouble you this whole night because of my misfortune."
"And I can't let you go home with my suit. I also can't take it off you right now because your chest is on display. So, I'll take you home and you give me my suit back."
Lana was speechless at this point. She could feel her cheeks redden so she turned her head to the side and agreed to let this man take her home. They waited for a while for his driver to arrive and when the driver finally did, Maximilien helped her into the car.
"Thank you. "
Lana said.
"You're welcome, where's your date though? You certainly didn't dress this hot to be out here all alone. "
Max commented.
"Well, my date left me with the bill after he ate like a mad dog. That's what I get for being desperate to find a lover. "
Lana gave a soft chuckle after her statement.
"Well, you're hot, you don't need to be desperate to find a lover."
Lana shook her head and laughed.
"Take me to your place."
She said .
"What?"
Maximilien replied, he wasn't prepared for this.
"Take me to your place."
Lana repeated, looking him in the eyes.
"Are you that desperate? I'm not looking for a lover. "
Lana rolled her eyes and pushed a button in the car which drew the partition up, closing them from the view of the driver.
"Forget about looking for a lover, I need to be railed. "
With that, she took off the suit, exposing her chest to him and moved closer to him until there was no space at all between them. Maximilien chose to play along with her. After all, he had needs too, and they hadn't been satisfied since Flora left him two years ago.
He grabbed her and parted her lips open with his. He hadn't realized how much he had missed the contact of another body. He passionately kissed her till a moan escaped from her lips.
He pressed a button which allowed him to communicate with the driver, and he asked the driver to take them to his house instead. Then he turned his attention to Lana, who already had her hand in his pants.
Her touch was so delicate. It was as if she feared what she might discover when he was fully hard.
"Don't be shy."
Max said with a sinister smirk across his lips. The car came to a stop and the driver announced that they had arrived. Max took off his tie and blindfolded Lana before guiding her out of the car and carrying her to his bedroom.
He was very particular about who he let into his house and he didn't feel safe around her enough to trust her with his home, even though a few minutes later he had his full-length in her mouth.
Both of them had been s*x-deprived for a very long time, so they went on full blast for hours. And they finally collapsed in exhaustion.
The next day, Max brought her a morning-after pill and watched her take it before handing her a document.
"I'm not looking for a lover, Miss, but I do have needs, so, if you wish to continue with this, you have to read this and sign the document. "
Lana nodded, and read through the document. It stated that she was not allowed outside the house unless he commanded it. She was not allowed to talk to anybody about any of this. The list went on and on. And finally, she read the one that stood out. She was not allowed to fall in love with him. She had to leave the moment she started developing feelings for him.
"Do we seriously need a lawyer for this?"
Lana asked, when she saw the lawyer walk in.
"Yes, yes we do. Now do you agree ?"
"Lana"
She announced.
"Excuse me? "
Max replied.
"Lana, that's my name."
Max nodded. Lana nodded too and signed. She had already resolved to the 'love isn't for me' notion before she signed the papers. And look at her now, head over heels, in love with Maximilien.
"Are you leaving?"
Max asked when he entered Lana's room.
"Yes, I breached the contract, I'm in love with you."
He didn't even seem moved by her confession. He simply shrugged.
"It's good you understood the contract. I'll help you leave when we're done."
" What do you mean?"
"Don't pretend you didn't need me to take you when you broke the rules and came to my room unannounced. Consider this my farewell gift. You know what to do with that pretty mouth of yours... On your Knees"
Maximilien commanded and she obeyed. Max was right, she needed this and she gave him everything he asked. She begged him not to hold back and he didn't. When they were done, he left her worn out on the bed.
"Go take a shower and meet me downstairs afterward."
She did as told.
"Here you go, as stated in the contract."
The contract stated that if she decided to leave for any reason at all, she would be compensated with a car, some money and a house.
This compensation hurt more than she could imagine, but she took it regardless.
"The driver will take you to your new house...you can choose to stay there, or sell it, or rent it out. It's yours."
"Thank you Max."
"You're welcome. Be safe "
With that, Maximilien blindfolded her and led her to the car. She went the same way she came, blindfolded, not knowing her surroundings. She could have taken the blindfold off herself to steal a glance, but she didn't. It wasn't worth it. This man was going to stay out of her life after all, and they would never cross paths again.
As the driver sped off into the distance, she sobbed silently before whispering to herself.
"Goodbye Max."
