CHAPTER 9

1091 Words
Adan’s POV It was the end of the day now. The end of a surprising and very tiring day. I was trying my best to be professional but all I could think of was those mesmerizing eyes looking at me. I was imagining her luscious lips kissing mine and her body in that dress so bold and sweet at the same time.  After we finished the meeting earlier I decided to approach her and find a way to ask her out. And I did. With the excuse of needing a guide because I was new to this city, she agreed to have dinner with me tonight. I couldn’t wait to see her again, feel her scent, look at her eyes. I was so damn attracted to her that I had no idea how I was holding myself and be professional here.  The moment had come and faking nonchalance I went to her office and when I was about to knock she opened her door and came outside bumping into my chest. That’s where I want to see you, dear. That’s where you belong.  ”What...oh, I didn’t see you. Um.. sorry” she said and a blush came up her face. I chuckled. “Shall we go? I was just coming to get you. Where do you want to go Ms Peterson?” I said. I used her last name to remind myself that I had to be professional around her. ”Yes, and please call me Jasmine,” she said and I was pleased that she wanted this informality with me. “We don’t really call each other so formally around here,” she added and I nodded. That awkward silence was here again. She started going towards the elevator and I couldn’t avoid looking at her body. My c**k twitched in my pants immediately and I had to cough to pull myself together. I put my eyes down just in case she had heard me cough. We went in and we both took a side of the elevator just to have some sanity space. “Sanity” because I was having crazy thoughts right now. I lowered my sight not to look at her body anymore and when I felt like someone was looking at me I raised them catching her in the act. She was totally staring. Good. GOOD.  “Blossom, don’t look at me like that or I will have to take you now and here,” I decided to tease and warn her at the same time. She was pissed. I don’t know if it was what I said or that she got caught but she snapped. “ I was not staring, love. I was going to tell you that there is a nice place near here and we should go there.” Oh, she is definitely asking for it. She keeps on giving me more teasing material. “Oh, baby girl stop calling me love. You know how much that affects me and I am reeeally trying to be a good boy here,” that was not a lie. “I am ok with wherever you want to go, Jasmine. I don’t really know the city and I would love to have a guide to the nicest places around here. Having you accompany me is a bonus, of course.” I winked and saw her sigh in relief. I didn’t want her to feel embarrassed or the situation between us being awkward.  We went to this rooftop place she suggested and we had a drink before dinner. When the waiter showed up we both ordered our food. The shrimp pasta looked yummy but what made me think again is the fact that she ordered veggie pasta. “ You didn’t strike me as a vegetarian, Love,” I said. “Your rebellious character made me think of you as a man-eater” I added with a chuckle. “Well I do not eat meat, and it’s been a while now. And definitely, do not eat any man. Maximum I make them eat me…” she snapped. Oh, she did not just say what I think she said. I would most definitely eat that p***y of yours again. ”Well, Blossom, I would be more than happy to have another taste of you, but you never called, so you’re not interested” I could have let it slip but she asked for it and I had to respond. I was a bit hurt that she didn’t call but I was not going to show it now.  Our food came and we started eating. Silence again. As soon as she put the fork in her mouth a moan escaped and my c**k twitched again. What is she doing to me? I coughed again.  “Are you ok?’ she asked innocently. “ Hem… Yes, baby girl, but you definitely are not making it any easier for me.” I responded and sipped my wine. I had to change the topic or I would not be able to control myself anymore. So we started talking about work and so the conversation went smoothly.   When we went down she called a cab and I was not ready to let her go. ” Blossom, you don’t mind sharing a cab, right?” I asked and she looked surprised but she nodded. I gave the driver her address and she asked: “ You remember my address?” I nodded and there was silence again. The trip was short so we arrived in a few minutes.  “Hmm…” She started. “ Good night, Jasmine,” I said. I wanted to take control back and I was not going to push her to do something she wasn’t interested in. “See you tomorrow morning in the office” I finished. “Good night, Aidan,” she said and the cab started again. I saw her becoming smaller and smaller while the car went away. There was something in her face that I couldn’t pinpoint but there was something in my heart that was bothering me even more. I didn’t want to go back to that empty apartment that didn’t feel mine right now. I missed the feeling of being at home or having someone with whom to call it home.
