Blossom in their hearts

CHAPTER 8

Aidan’s POV

Last night I left her apartment with half of my heart left behind. I left her my number and a short note. I only hope that she will call. I need her to call. I finally felt complete after...I don’t even know how long. It was everything I ever hoped for. A sweet and loving person with a cute smile when she was shy and the boldness when she wanted to show her character. And she was beautiful. Did I say that already? I can’t take those eyes from my mind. My body is aching for her again even though I had the most amazing s*x of my life. 

The short trip to my apartment went unnoticed as I was thinking about her. When I entered my apartment all I could hear was silence. The deafening silence of my life. I am a successful businessman, and I am about to become a partner in one of the most prestigious advertising companies, but my personal life is nonexistent after Catherine. I thought I had everything and now… I don’t know where I stand now. 

I decided to have another drink so I poured myself a scotch. Raising the glass to my mouth, I thought:” Here’s to new beginnings”. I was about to become a COO this Monday. And most probably I met someone new. I only hoped that everything was turning the right way for once. 

The weekend went by quickly as I needed to get ready for my new position. I met with Derek and Justin to settle the last things and then just relaxed. I needed time to focus, get myself back on track. I didn’t let my thoughts fly towards that beautiful red-haired girl. If anything was going to happen between them it would come to him naturally. If she wanted to take her time, he would not force her.

Monday came by really fast. He had a meeting at 9 o’clock with both Derek and Justin. They wanted him to meet this wonderful Head of PR they were so enthusiastic about and the Head of HR as well to come up with a strategy for the new branch in New York which he was supposed to manage. 

He went straight to Jeremy since he was friends with him first and after having a coffee together, Justin left to solve something before the meeting with everybody. He was working on his laptop when the door swang open and the most amazing vision came in front of him. There she was. The girl that made him feel alive again. The most beautiful creature he had ever seen in all her glory. That body, perfectly covered in light pink showing her innocence and a bit of leather at the end and belt, to show her boldness. She was just the perfect pack. And she was here, which meant she worked here. Perfect. Or, not? Depending on her reaction.

She didn’t notice me at first as she entered the office saying "Can we talk about…". And then she stopped. Green eyes looking at hazel ones. Amazement and curiosity were in them. A smile crept on my lips but I stopped it immediately. I didn’t want to show myself to happy to see her again. 

"What..?" she said. Perplexed clear in her face. I decided to tease her a bit. I wanted to test the waters. "How are you Blossom?" my eyes betrayed the smile I was trying to hold. 

"Told you not to call me that, Knight" she spat, but my heart skipped a beat when she called my name. It was not that unimportant then. 

" I see you like to call me your Knight," I replied. "But, I can't stop calling you that. Look at you Love. Beautiful." I couldn’t stop myself from saying it. I had to tell her at least what I was feeling right now. "Stop it," she said. She was blushing. This is new. She should be used by now. People probably told her all day. I loved this side of her. She was so beautiful and so unconscious about it. Like she really didn’t see herself in the mirror every day and see her beauty. 

"Oh Blossom. You look even better like this." I said and I couldn’t hold my grin anymore. For a second I saw her face light up in a smile as well before she controlled it again. 

"Pardon me for being forward but, what are you doing here?" she asked and gained her professional posture again. Oh, so professional. "Are you waiting for Justin? We have a meeting in about.." What? Does she work here? Don’t tell me she is…

“Oh, here you are Aidan,” Justin said. Then he turned to her. “ Jasmin, you’re here as well. I see you two met each other already.” She was silent. Speechless. Exactly as I was. So, she is one of the heads. Jasmine. What a beautiful name. A flower just like her. In a moment she started blushing again. Probably she just realized that she didn’t know my name and that she had s*x with a stranger. That makes me feel better about what happened between us. 

“Yeah, sort of. Justin do you have a moment before the meeting?” she asked.“Can it wait?” Justin said,” We’re about to start and Aidan is already here.” Then she definitely is one of the heads. 

The door opens and Derek comes in with Julian from HR. When he sees that we are in the room he smiles and says: “Great, everyone already here, so we can start.” 

“Today we wanted this meeting to inform you about some changes around the company and I am very excited to tell you this.” his smile was very broad and sincere. “Justin and I have been thinking about this for a long time and I think it was time that we took the big step. All this would not have been possible without you Jasmine and your great work with PR and you Julian with all the great work with our employees,” he said.”Derek, what is it? What’s the big change? You are worrying me?” she asked. I could sense curiosity in her voice. 

Justin started ”Since our company is at the peak right now, and with the very great publicity that we’re getting late, we decided to expand. We’ll be going to hopefully have a new office in New York  by the end of this year.” I knew all this but she looked like someone that had no idea what was going on. “I and Derek will move to New York next week and will live there, at least the first period,” Jeremy said. “So soon?” she asked. “What’s the rush? What about here? Who’s going to run the place here?” she voiced some of her questions. 

“Well, Jasmine..” Derek started “Let me introduce you to Aidan Knight, our new partner.” He finished with a grin on his face. “Partner? But, how..?” confusion clear on her face. 

“ Since we’re friends I am explaining you the whole thing. We will be equal partners of the A & D Creative which will become A&D Creative and Co because Aidan will be a silent partner and CEO of the New York branch when everything is in place. He will be working with us all in order to get to know our philosophy of work. Jasmine, I need your help with this.” he explained. “Umm, sure,” she said but I noticed uncertainty. “Julian, you will be coming with us to sort the new staff,” Derek said and Julian nodded. That means I will be alone with her for a while. This will be interesting. I can’t wait to be alone with you, my love. Can’t wait to make you mine…
